![]() We are going to love this dude. The last time we had a player like this that attacked the paint and dished was Jeremy Lin.
Obi and RJ are really going to flourish with this guy running the point. https://nypost.com/2021/06/05/pablo-prigioni-knicks-will-love-new-point-guard-luca-vildoza/ Pablo Prigioni sees Knicks loving ‘really good’ Luca Vildoza

![]() Very excited for this guy.
Will the FO dip heavy into an FA young/older PG or go with a cheaper option and give him a real opportunity? Interesting to who the guys in top 10 of RPM #s for PGs are: |

![]() I really like Luca as a player if he can be a younger version of Prigioni that would be great. I think Argentinian players have a certain toughness built in them. I just think with the Knicks, Luca might be a victim of circumstances. The knicks love what DRose bring more so as a spark off the bench. I think Luca has until the start of free agency to convince Thibs and the FO that he can have a major role in this Knick team next year. If the Knicks sign any of the PG that they have interest in like Ball, Nunn, CP3, Lowery or trade for Graham that will put Luca in an awkward situation. I hope im wrong but if they do that and Luca remains in the team, we might be looking at next year's Frank.

And will cost us a lottery pick? By signing Luca to multiple years, I feel the FO felt he would at least fill the back up PG role nicely and also has a chance to become a solid starting PG in the league, with time. But you are right, it is all quite early. The Draft, FA and who we resign is still TBD and that will dictate what his role will be. Highlights look like he may be a solid player. But we know how accurate hype video is. 'Knicks focus should be on players that have grown up playing soccer or cricket' - Triplethreat 8/28/2020

In the sense that alot of fans think that he can be a contributer in the team instead he rides the bench not being able to see the floor. Im not saying they have the same skill set, their skill sets is way different from each other. I think Luca can be a very good point guard in the NBA, the question is, will he get the chance to showcase it if the knicks bring in say Ball, CP3, Nunn while keeping DRose as the team's 6th man. |

![]() Clean wrote: Wow, he looks fantastic. We might have just found our PG of the future. PnR is the oldest and still the most effective play in the book. If he can be our version of Stockton then we are set because we already have our version of Malone in Randle. Everything you have ever wanted is on the other side of fear- George Adair

If the organization believes in this guy maybe they sign a B-level point guard in free agency to a short deal as a safety net. I wouldn't be comfortable seeing the Knicks say this is the long term answer to the point guard position from day one. I hope he is though. |

![]() Seems like Payton’s extra bad plummet at the end of the season coincided with the news we signed this guy

Holy crap, if this is the major part of what this guy is about, NBA defenses are going to eat his lunch. And dinner. And serve him **** for breakfast. Can you imagine Thibs going full psycho in practice watching 50 foot passes and no one on D getting a hand on it? |
