I’m not a big Ranger fan but happy never-the-less. That despite the ramp up in the Nets world they let it play itself out. Nalod says “let the games sort it out and knicks take care of business”. Not a prediction, just logic that billboards or words vs. cross town rivals don’t mean a thing unless your successful. Knicks did it without a stupid star studded trade because games matter. 10 years ago we did by obtaining Melo in his prime but failed to properly build around him. Old story, relax Jrod.

Would you say the following statements are accurate?

The following players have seen their NBA value and impact increase under Thibs after 1 year:
Randle/RJ/Mitch/Bullock/Noel/Burks/Rose

The following have not:
SmithJR/Frank/Elf/Knox

Even if Thibs doesnt win COY it doesnt matter. Randle went from trade fodder to MIP and a sure max guy. Bullock and Burks are having career shooting years and allowed to let it fly. Players will take note that Thibs lets his players be players and do what they do. Like Bill Withers said just do it good. If its IQ shooting 4s or RJ and Randle treating opposing front courts like bowling pins just do it good.

Bottom line is players around the league will have a very different perception of this place this offseason. I would not be surprised if Kawhi gives us a really honest look. Especially if LAC gets bounced (down 0-2) adding Kawhi to the Knicks puts us in instant title contention. He would be surrounded by RJ/Randle/Rose and a rim protector. I wonder what KL thinks of Thibs?

I HOPE that even if its not Kawhi that other players will come. I like Schroder and Powell as guys around Randle's age who may have another level they can get to.

Who can predict which guys? I dont know, but I expect NY to be a hot stove destination with a lot of willing players.
