I’m worried about Payton as a person. If you watch him in the 3rd he is muttering to himself shaking his head looking out into the crowd while Knicks have the ball... yes his play is awful and lacking confidence but I think NewYork may have broken him.

Rose on the fastbreak can quarterback these passes and lob it over the defenders. Payton can't complete a pass unless it's a completely clear path.

He has broken himself. Man, he has been given a great chance to be the starting PG of a Knicks team that actually won and made the playoffs. If he has remained the passing PG he was early in his career, NY wouldve backed him up. But he has sulked, been selfish and when the rest of the team is upbeat and excited, he has looked distant. If anything else personally is happening, sorry for him, but if not, he’s had his chance and blown it. Thibs has been loyal to him but has slowly phased him out because it’s just not good anymore having him out there for extended minutes.
