ESPN doesn't even register the Knicks anywhere near the top of the Eastern Conference, they aren't even in the Playoffs.

Teams appearing ahead of the knicks

Pistons (agree)
Heat (agree)
Pacers (agree)
CAVS (Added Eric Snow, and Drew Gooden, LJ better than anyone on the Knicks)
Celtics (Frontline, Raef, Blount, Pierce, is a real advantage)
Sixers (this is up in the air)
Bucks (if TJ Ford is healthy they are right there with us)
Magic (Healthy Grant Hill, Mobley, Franchise and an emerging Howard makes them a better team not to mention garrity and battie of the bench)
Nets (they have played well, even without JKIDD, but i don't think they are better)
Knicks

Thats not a good sign for Mr. Publicity Isiah Thomas if these predictions hold up.

I am sure some of your will be outraged at these

Comeon, this is ESPN, I'm surprised they didn't have us at 25. Once the season gets going, we'll be moving up to atleast top 15, hopefully around 11/12 once we get past the tough stretch to start off with.

Power rankings?

Boston, Orlando and Philly are better than people are giving credit but they are not head and shoulders above the Knicks.

Power rankings are all bs in the first place. I mean here we have so called experts that think they know basketball and these so called experts never give any respect to the Knicks. All they see is our payroll and nothing else.

oh come on now. im the prince of pessimism, but that's outright stupidty or true hatred. the knicks fall into the middle between 14-16

i think that is fair and reasonable at the moment.
ill give some caveats. i think the suns are much much much beter than anyone anticipates--i give them just as good a chance to win the west as anyone else.
i think the jazz could be in for a letdown if their PG is hurt bad+ having okur come in out of shape after signing 50mm+ is just down right inexcusable==they could be a team that falters a bit more than expected.

the heat are based on shaq if this guy is getting hurt already--father time gets everyone including the big diesel---the heat better hope there is protection on that pick! if shaq is shaq for 70 games they should win 50 if he plays 40 they will win 30
kings IMHO are nowhere near the same team

celtics are not as good as i originally thought they be 36-38 wins again no playoffs

wizards are better than 27 they are a playoff team IF healthy IMHO.

I know many of you dont think much of the GM's but they rated the knx No 1 in the division. But do any of you rate the ESPN braintrusts higer than the GMs. My power ratings-Gms No 1 ESPN behind everyone in between.
