Gives us a glimpse into the type of PG this team needs long term. Rose is also a great locker room mentor. Best trade the knicks made in a long time, and without mortgaging the furture.
What have we learned? Its the moves you don’t see coming. Phil saw the physical potential of DRose but his mind and body were not ready to come down to the high perch. In Minny he started to restore his presenc. His inclusion in Detroit was a good idea but not executed as Griff could not return to form.
I never saw this version of Rose of a super sub. He finishes were Payton starts. This is Thibs doing great.
So lets say we traded KP, Hardaway, Courtney Lee For Randle, DRose , and two 1st round picks. Knick fans were perfectly within the boundaries to call bull Shyt on the trade given our lack of faith. Confidence was not warranted post PHil, Post Melo, and MIlls did not foster confidence in his moves. Leon gets the credit for corralling all the good that came before him and gave it to Thibs and company. Dolan finally spend well on this front office.
I can’t see the path forward but thats ok. This season still matters and thats new. Leaves on the tree’s and. Post season potential that might be fun. The future will take care of itself.
What we've learned is that the excuses Phil lovers imagine will never die.
"all the good that came before..." Classic. Leon brings in a Thibs reclamation project who's 5 years removed from the Phil debacle, and somehow that's the "good that came before..."... LMAO
I seem to remember lots of confidence when Leon was appointed, and his staff met with little to no dis-faith from the fandom.
Maybe what we really learned is we just need to see if there's anyway we can just pay Woodson to come and hug and whisper sweet nothings to everyone before each of our games...
