Sad to say but I don't think J. Randle is our answer. He's not a clutch guy we can depend on when needed. He consistently dribbles into double teams and gets stripped from the back side...bad court awareness. He was a pleasent surprise in the beginning of the season but when all said and done, on balance he's not the one we can build around.

hes a 260 pound guy whos been over played. He had a couple of injuries as well. Hes very good but we have to keep him below 35 minutes. They have to accept obi playing 15-17 minutes

I just think Randle is hurt right now or just going through a funk. The guy has been clutch all year. Not going to abandon him after three bad games. He has not been right since he hurt his leg three games ago. I think something is bothering him physically. This is all part of the process of becoming an elite team. Randle and the other players have work through and fix their recent bad play. Team got too ****y and lost the ball movement they had earlier in the year.

I’m frustrated with the losing as much as all of you, but a few bad games while evidently playing injured isn’t the best time to evaluate Randle. This team has a few pieces to build around and Randle is one of them.

I agree....relax. I heard Randle say he was hurt but will play anyway, b4 the Dallas game.

We been knew this? Ofc Randle is not a franchise guy but his resurgence means he’s a very strong piece to build with. I’d really prefer it if Thibs would stop playing him so much if he’s hurt.

Lately he has reverted to not anticipating and passing out of double teams which usually results in a turnover.

I hope he gets back to moving the ball soon.

He should be a second or third option on a champion team but I’m very happy to have him here as our number one. He just needs stop forcing some shots and pick up the defensive intensity a little more.

I agree that Randle shouldn't be the alpha dog on the team. But he's a great complimentary piece for an up and coming team like the knicks. We need to build around Randle and RJ better. And we need a closer, until RJ grows into that roll.

He is injured and fatigued

What did you expect to happen playing every game nearly 40 min a night.

It was always about who else can we get with Randle. At no point in time did I feel we could contend or even be a serious playoff team with just him.

My realistic expectation from game 1 was just to be a 1-10 seed.

But as we got closer to the top everyone raised the bar.

We are coming back down to reality. We will lose a lot but I feel we will get in that 1-10 spot

Best case scenario for the Knicks is to get a 8-13 pick and finish 10th

Culture change - Check

Better draft positioning - check

Compete in a playoff atmosphere - check

Perfect season

Then the real work starts

What do we do with 55m in cap and 10 picks in 3 years

This is our real season if you are a real Knick fan

He’s a superstar. But he’s also a #2 trying to be a #1. Eventually I hope he has the opportunity to excel as a #2 option.

Who seen gladiator with Maximus stabbed up and wounded fighting commodus.

That’s Julius Randle right now lol

Plus I’m sure he was looking for the front office to get him sone help and it’s not coming. Has to feel deflating

And they got the kid rj at 20 going for 72/82 games 35+ min a night lol

You can pull that 18-22 years old and even he is wearing down now

Imagine Julius at 26 carrying the load night after night and injured

One of three things will happen

1. Team gets a second wind

2. They start shooting the lights out

3. We start losing a lot!

I've been critical of Randle not being the alpha for our team to build around all season but I do think the recent struggle has more to do with fatigue and possibly injuries vs his ability. We have also missed Rose, RJ and IQ have struggled at times, Obi still mostly a no show and Thibs does consistently play the starters too many minutes... a lot can improve if even 1 or 2 of those variables change

Thibs needs to cut his minutes and play Obi and Knox more rest of the way.

What NBA player is carrying his team alone, and winning more than losing?

We obviously need upgrades in other area to truly have a Balance roster, right now this ship is mostly leaning on Randle.

He doesn't have the luxury of LOAD MANAGEMENT

I think we can all agree that Randle is a major reason why the Knicks have been successful this year. He has a really good chance of being on a All-NBA team this year and, if he continues to play at this level next season, the Knicks will have no choice but to offer the MAX.

I think this new Randle is here to stay. The three point shooting might not be sustainable, but I think he'll still be able to hit league average.

Everything depends on how well we hold up the last 22 games. A lot of decisions this off season will be made by how we finish the season.

Randle is fantastic. He's a 2 way player who can score from anywhere and is a great guy. Total pro. All star. We need more guys like him. Not less. He's also one of the strongest dudes in the league.

Praying we sign another guy ready to take that next step like we did with Randle
