From Bergen....
As for the roster decisions the Knicks must make by 6 p.m. today, Wilkens plans to wait until the last minute, although it's likely Houston - who again didn't scrimmage Sunday - center Bruno Sundov and point guard Jamison Brewer will start on the injured list and sit out at least the first five games. That means Shandon Anderson, pending a last-minute buyout or trade, neither of which is expected, fills the final spot on the 12-man active roster.

I'm glad Moochie will be active over Brewer. Jamison has not impressed me at all. I hope the Shandon situation is fixed soon.

I'm surprised Isiah picked Moochie over Brewer. I got the impression that Brewer was one of his pet projects that he would give the benefit to.

Isiah is trying to showcase Moochie just so he can trade him. After all, his pay-check is much heavier than Brewer. I don't like the move, but I will take that. However, I have one question; why in the world that Anderson is still a freaking Knick? I don't give a damn about his contract, why don't we just buy his a&& out of our rotation? We have guys that we will be forced to put on IR because of the decision to keep Anderson around. Please God, rid us of this dillema.

I don't like Moochie but he did play very well the last couple of pre-season games. As long as he's productive in the little minutes he'll get he won't hurt us but instead increase his trade value. You can package him with someone else to another team.

Never buyout a contract that could later be a valuable expiring contract. Free up a roster space will simply allow someone like Bruno Sundov gets garbage minutes. Shandon will have a $8 mil expiring contract in just 1 year and 8 months.

the Knicks can't buy out Shandon because he's not willing to take back less than $20 million...let Shandon sulk on the bench all year long if he wants to be a baby about it...we don't need to do him any favors by paying him most of what he's owed only to let him go someplace else & be happy to get playing time.

Agreed. If he complains, fine him, suspend him. The only problem is how it affects the other players.

Just the sight of him on the bench is annoying to me. If I were Lenny, I would only put him in the game in the last 10 seconds of all of our blow out games.

Yeah, I think IT is consciously making life for Shandone miserable to try to eat as his resistance to taking less than $20 MM in the buyout. IT has tried since arriving to trade Mr. Done, w/o anything close to a nibble. So he doesn't mind eroding Overdone's trade value by playing mind games. I don't think it will work, and it's a nasty approach, but I don't feel sorry for PoorlyDone. He's collecting his $$.

It'll only prove to be an issue if other players side with DumbDone, but only a player who wants out of NY would do something so stupid in current environment.

I'm actually surprised more players don't take this approach (refusing to go on the IR because they're healthy).

the NBA won't, but should get rid of that rule. they act like they don't know what teams are doing. bottom line is teams have to put these players on the IR. in all honesty, i don't know why more players don't refuse to go on the IR. as much as i can't stand shandon, i can't say i blame him. he'd probably be there for two yrs.

there really isnt anyone to blame at this point. Its not Shandon's fault. I would have signed that contract if Layden gave it to me also. Current Knick management is just stuck with him, and he's stuck with us.

the blame rests solely on Scott Layden's shoulders...but Shandon needs to stop complaining & be happy to collect his $24 million.

Just let Shandon ride the pine for a while, after a while he may get fed up with it and except a lesser buyout.

I doubt it, but they didn't mind going on the list. Any player has the right to refuse if they are healty....Shandon is doing so.
