Don't know if anyone has mentioned this before but here goes. A team needs 15 players on a roster. 5 are your best combination/players and are called starters. They play the most minutes, usually. The next five are called the second unit and are usually your second set of best players. They are almost good enough to start but have some weaknesses the coach does not trust. Although on some nights they have it really going and the coach uses them more than the starters and even at the end of games. The last 5 on the roster just don't show enough in practices and oh yeah, in 3 flippin years, to be able to make the rotation. However, they are good enough to fill in as backups or even as starters if enough players get hurt. Without the last 5 you would have games where fans from the stands would be needed to fill in. So even if you don't consider them top 10, they are still important to the team. It is also best to have those players be ones that already know the offense/defenses and have familiarity with the other top 10 players.
Being somewhat funny but main point is teams still need subs that are decent and familiar.
HOWEVER, It does seem like Obi should not be getting more burn than Knox. Especially on night we need more shooting. But I refer back to the above and assume a tenured coach knows better than my armchair vision.
