![]() Worryingly, Macri posted this Berman tweet in which Berman said "don't count on" the Knicks landing Drummond, but then later deleted it:
Tweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: and replaced it with "don't count them out": Tweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: Maybe we sign him to a multi year deal using this years cap space to plumpen his pay while reducing the salary hit next season (so essentially instead of signing with the lakers for the minimum this year and going for a two year $15mil per year contract in the offseason with another team, he signs a deal that starts at $10mil this remaining season with us, plus $10mil per for the following 2 seasons), then maybe becomes a traceable asset? Would that be the thinking behind such an awful move? though I don't know if his salary is pro rated with this season almost being up- anyone know the rules for signing a FA to big money midseason? has it ever happened before? |

![]() Interesting article on rebounding. Didnt know Cavs have benched Drummond since February.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.si.com/.amp/nba/2021/03/25/andre-drummond-rebounding-daily-cover While he’s had a handful of bright spots—a pair of massive steals in an overtime win against Detroit, and a game-sealing assist late versus Memphis—it’s been a rough year for Drummond, all things considered. |

Drummond is having a down year because he is playing in Cleveland which is not going anywhere. In short he has nothing to play for and is not fully engaged. The moment he comes to the Knicks where Thibs gets a hold of him and he has something to play for, you will see a completely Drummond. |

Drummond has been a low percentage scorer and high turnover player in Iso for most of his career. He has plenty to play for since he's looking for a new contract, so that's not really a valid excuse. My question is what would a full 180 look like from Drummond? Does he become a lower usage, higher efficiency big in the paint? If that's the case, how is that different from what Mitch and Noel provide? Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.
