with Randle and Obi, were does Collins even fit as a trade scenario guy?
What is the issue? Collins turned down a 90 mil extension and will be going into restricted FA this summer.
What is the issue in ATL? Trae Young wants to be Steph Curry and was given the keys to the franchise before he earned. No doubt the kid has game but this season he is not enhancing with leadership/playmaking to affect the outcome.
Collins is inconsistent. Berman with every team we play has to dig at some knick angle? He he has to create content.
If our FO and coaches are foaming at the mouth for this guy and his potential then perhaps a swap for OBI. There is your “Lottery pick” and we’ll throw in Frank because thats what fans do. I’d throw in Dennis and maybe ATL would not notice?

Timeline might not be lining up. Knicks tried to sign Haywood at a reasonable price. He is proving his value 26 games but years still to go. Drummond is interesting but this guy a contract year star and then fades out when the money is in the account? Can we get hm to go meatless and chisel those shoulders?

Randle in our long range plans? I’m super happy with his ascent but the eye test does not love the slow pace game knicks play. I’m curious if knicks get calls about his availability? If Milwaukee wanted to trade Giannis, and they don’t, a stat stuffer like Randle would make it more palatable. Thing is I don’t know if I want to mortgage the future for him if we can’t surround him with talent to contend. Anything less is a starphuch. But a star in NY is a money maker and perhaps like most knick fans damaged if I can’t see it then it can’t happen?

Randle makes some things possible because teams want a starter/all star in return. He is not a premium all star but young. While we are throwing poo at the wall, does a Collins/Hunter return for Randle work? Not enough, we get a pick back and they can have Frank? Collins goes thru the house of Payne and fulfills his potential. ATL gets a player to take them one rung up the ladder?

IM not selling any of this. Its just talk. I like that we are beating weaker team. My gut tells me this season is really weird. Not fans, and Covid behind the scenes is playing havoc on teams. we are not halfway thru the season but we are starting to see some teams come around after weird short preseason and many players came in out of shape doe to plethora of issues. Draft two weeks before camp was super weird. Free agency was weird.
Knicks a game under .500 at this point in the season is weird.

Some team is going to be impatient and make a mistake. I hope knicks can jump on it and take advantage of it. Not be taken advantage of.
