We get a Rose right in time for Valentines Day..

It's been well documented That I wanted rose back and felt the Triangle, the Dysfunction, and the lack of leadership killed that season.

Some forget that we were a couple of games over 500 by the early parts of december that season when Phil posted the comments on Twitter about Melo, and the season spiral straight down...JH was a dear in head lights dealing with Phil and Rambis.

“I thought it wasn’t going to happen at first. A lot goes into being traded. I’m feeling grateful, anxious, but at the same I know what I have to do coming here. It’s about helping the young guys, playing as hard as I can and, for one, thanking Thibs [Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau].

I think he has the ability to help Quickly learn the game, his penetration can free up Mitch for putbacks, lobs, and handoffs, this gives Randle a few extra minute on the bench, and not always having to be the ball handler, and from what i was reading, he's on a 23 minutes per game restriction.

I just feel like we are getting a different Rose, a more mature rose, he want to be here, wants to win, and he is playing for his favorite coach and willing to do whatever.

This is going too be good

I wasn't a fan of Rose last time around because i thought he was a poor fit with Melo (although i was open to it.) It feels like it can be different this time around. I'm judging it on his ability to fit in seamlessly and help Quickley grow into a top level scoring PG.

Good news. I know Rose is a quiet lockerroom guy, so i hope he takes a proactive approach with these guys.

That quote from Rose is reassuring. It’s definitely what you would like to read from him. Hopefully that translates well on the court and, as many have pointed out, this does a lot for the growth of Quick, having a former MVP tutoring him.

Yes, a more mature Rose that's more discreet about his off-the-court encounters with women and his crew.

More seriously, though, I think both Payton and Quickley can learn a lot from Rose - particularly Payton actually - about putting defenders on their heels by attacking the basket hard.
