So why would any of those concerns not be ours?

Don't think the Bulls want to pay him big money. He's a piece but he has flaws like most other players. I would consider trading him for Randle as I think Randle has more value and could possibly net us a return pick or extra player with Lauri. I do think Randle is the better player but for our team with limited outside shooting - I really think a stretch four could bring out the best in RJ and Mitch's abilities. It may give more options to play Toppin, although the defensive problem remains. That said, a safer deal would be Toppin for Lauri. They both have defensive limitations but Lauri is a better outside shooter and could work with Randle for limited minutes. Just don't see Toppin getting on the floor much with Randle and Mitch as the 4/5. While this trade idea is far from perfect - Toppin will likely rot on the bench as long as Randle and Mitch are a part of our core. So while Toppin may have the most talent/ability (unknown) - we prob should have picked a Vassell or any other player that could have offered help/minutes at the PG, SG or SF position. Realize they didn't anticipate Randle would improve but what do you do with a supposedly talented rookie that is positionally redundant and has several limitations which reduce his playability overall? Guess we'll send him to the Dunk contest
