Houston Waives Zimmerman, Signs Barrett

Associated Press

HOUSTON - The Houston Rockets waived guard Derrick Zimmerman on Thursday and signed rookie guard Andre Barrett.

Barrett played in five preseason games with the New York Knicks, who waived him Monday.

Zimmerman averaged just 6.6 minutes in five preseason games with Houston.

great for him! he has a great chance to start there. Ward is not playing well and he's what 35 now!

that might be the berfect spot for him to be. He won't start but he'll have a chance to make a good impression.

Seems like Van Gundy is still a fan of the Knicks. Let's see if he picks up Shandon once Isiah buys him out.

I knew he would be picked by some team later in the season but now he gets to chance to earn his playing time during the season.

Good for him. If he does stay in their lineup, I may feel just a little bad when we kill them this year.
