the pacers have 4 starters and 2 back ups out, yet they are locking down Chicago including their big guys and are up 15. God forbid we were missing Marbury Crawford and Sweetney--guys here would be bthcn and moaning with excuses.

a lot of sport has to do with mental toughness and system play--look at the patriots--look at the NJ Devisl all those years

they picked up that 7-0 275 pound C from kent state and they also got lucky with Harrison in the draft. They also IMHo traded for a much better player in Jackson than Harrington.

right now edwards a rookie non drafted is making curry look dumb nothing fancy just using his enormous frame and playing within a system.

not really....losing crawford would make us worse but not nearly as much as you think because we are not that good(champhipship quality)to begin with because we have NO true C/PF, no post player, no presense

Sounds like you have it down to a science BRIGGS-ole-pal.

Oh wait.....the Pistons lost yet again tonight. And against the Celts minus Gary Payton. Guess they don't fall into your category of good teams.

Yup, Detroit must be a freaking lottery team now. But it shouldn't matter now, cause Boston is one of the best, right?

tell-tale sign of when you are good
The sign is when you play well in the regular season and especially in the post-season. The tell-tale sign of when you are good is not something you'll observe in the preseason.

Its a nice thing when you can take risks in preseason and have your subs shut down a teams starting front line.

I think winning in preseason can make a team feel good about itself. A good team losing in preseason is no big deal, it brings problems to the surface and hopefully delt with.

Going winless in preseason gotta make you nervous.

Whom beats whom is sensless becasue it all depends on whom is getting the minutes, and against whom your getting them with.

Briggs.. then why do you think the Nets will be bad? They only lost 2 starters and one's coming back in Dec.

Not one of your better posts. I give you a pass on this one... clearly you got hit with a little Pacer envy. Try rubbing an analgesic cream on the sore area and take some tylenol.
