That has got to be the most homosexual nickname ever in all of sports......and he legally changed it to Nene.....anyway.

He is the mosts agile and quick moving big man I have ever seen. He has great hands and knows what to do around the basket.

Kenyon, and Camby are ahead of him......

Can Isiah pry him away from Denver. Kiki is not an idiot. He would entertain it but he's not gonna give him away. Would Kiki take on KT just to have that veteran guy that does the dirty work and can spot up shoot? I think he would just to bring more leadership and experience to Denver. They look deadly but they lack role players off the bench. Nene doesn't seem like he would be happy if he isn't starting.

I say Isiah try and get him to play center.

The name was originally Nene Hilario. He just had the "Hilario" removed. It's not like he picked the name "Nene" out of the thousands of names that exist. If he could have picked any name possible, I'm sure he would have chosen "Bonn" and made his middle name a number like 1997 instead of a name!

I say Isiah try and get him to play center.
I'd love to get him but I can't see it happening because they have no bad contracts for us to take back. They could be interested in Jamal since they're not strong at SG, but they could have just signed him themselves this summer.

I don't know about that. He gets 11 PPG without having any plays called for him. He has a ton of talent and upside. I'd love to have him on our team.

I believe Nene is a bit overrated at this point but we'll see. His stats thus far are encouraging but not convincing imo.

Id like to see Sweetney and Ariza get a full season with serious PT before IT considers trading them.I dont want it to come back and bite us where the sun dont shine.

Actually that's not true. His real name is Maybyner Hilario and Nene really was the name he picked out of the thousands of names that exist. It's a Brazilian thing. Like Pele, you know?

he has no offensive game??

i want to know if u have ever seen him play? 2x a year doesnt count neither

he has a great mid range jumper, good hands, decent strengh, quick for a big man. His game is similiar to malones without seeing those hidden knees and elbows.

With free agents like stromile swift and nene, Ive wondered how much does sweetney really worth in the market till he is proven. Ive made a post saying it would be a gamble if we cant trade sweetney and possibly others for a center. IF we get back nene or swift, it would be a big +.

I know everyone is big about sweetney and I cheer on for him as well. But centers are so rare to come by and if the right offer came our way we will have to reconsider for our future

I think I heard someone had suggested that to him...that was actually the thing that pushed him to go with just "Nene".

But anyway, can Nene play C? I haven't watched many games with him, but my cousin loves the Nuggets, seems to dislike Nene, and doesn't like his play in the front court.
...actually forget it, he was a Nets fan last year. I say we go get Nene, just not including Sweetney or Ariza.

He's raw, dont know how much he's improved since his rookie season but stats wise, last season wasnt too good for him. I remembered his garden debut with the nuggets, he had stripped KT (?) lead the fast brake and decided to take it to the hole and promptly botched the layup. That play kinda summed him up he's super athletic build like a rock but raw (he picked up basketball late it seems). I remembered scouts calling him the Brazilian Ben Wallace or something, he's got the tools hasnt lived up to the name yet. Prying him will be harder than prying kwame i think.

Yup, he has no touch around the hoop at all, and no post up game.

Nene means "baby" in Brazilian (Portugese) slang.

Not "baby" as in infant.

But "baby" as in "Ooooooooh, baby, who's your daddy?"

he certainly is no duncan but he showed far more post up game than anyone we have on our roster. And he has a great shot too. I watched plenty of denver games last year to be a judge. However he isnt a great shot blocker or a GREAT defender. I have no clue what u have been watching of nene.

Here's a clue: I have been watching the Nene who has very little touch. Unless he worked on his game this Summer, Sweetney is better with his back to the basket.

Naser and Kurt for Nene sounds much better. We can also send them Anderson or Moochie in that deal. However, I would much rather have Nene in N.Y rather than Kwame Brown or Chandler.
