Nazr and Baker are turning out to be mistakes. KT is going to be KT I can't stand him but he's the Knicks best center....geez that hurts.

Tim Thomas has been very nonchalant. Ariza has been getting the minutes and the nimbers...on top of that Timmy got hurt against Dallas.

Wouldn't it be funny if Ariza winds up starting due to injury?

Back to smelling trades.....Baker, Nazr, Moochie and Timmy are prime suspects.

DRAMA QUEEN! just bc isiah isnt talking about trades every day like he used to doesnt mean ones coming up. if anything, when he's talking about it, one may be coming up but doesnt always. so i dont see where ur logic comes to this conclusion.

I certainly wouldn't mind him starting. In fact, why not today against Minny? TT is a little hurt now.

Imagine a rookie and a second year player starting! Nirvana.

Crawford is playing like a rookie of late.

Add Shandone to that list and you may be on to something. I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn't be suprised if another move gets made outta nowhere right before the season opener.

We may have a tougher time with the 5 in its current state.
IMO, something's gonna happen that will blindside all of us.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I don't really see a trade coming until the deadline, or until we have a bad stretch during the season. These guys finally are growing some chemistry, I don't see Isiah stunting it unless it's just something minor like a swap for Shandon (wouldn't exactly be minor around here, but still).

I think the Knicks need to make a trade....

Wally want to be here to play ball....Timmy wants to fight K-Mart and Collins....

How could it get done?

KT is the only guy playign well cuz he's hitting his jumpers. No one else can buy a bucket.

Guys at my job are talk stuff about Houston coming back....even if he does come back the Knicks still lose by at least 10....maybe even still get blown out.

Wally is a high energy player and the Knicks need that. Timmy doesn't rebound and he is lazy. Wally is always hyped up cuz that's how he plays.....

The T-Wolves would be stupid to make that trade but the Knicks would be stupid not to ask.

My opinion - we're overreacting to the last few preseason games. Stephon is being rested, different combos are being tried, there's no way these games draw the same focus out of a team. I don't think we're making any trades now. I think we're going to see a very different level of performance out of this team once the games count.

New York trades: SF Tim Thomas (14.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.9 apg in 31.6 minutes)
C Kurt Thomas (11.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 31.9 minutes)
C Nazr Mohammed (7.4 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 0.5 apg in 20.1 minutes)
PG Moochie Norris (3.5 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.8 apg in 12.8 minutes)
New York receives: SG Wally Szczerbiak (10.2 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.2 apg in 22.2 minutes)
C Zydrunas Illgauskas (15.3 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 1.4 apg in 31.3 minutes)
PF Ira Newble (4.0 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.1 apg in 19.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -7.2 ppg, -6.4 rpg, and -2.4 apg.

Minnesota trades: SG Wally Szczerbiak (10.2 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.2 apg in 22.2 minutes)
Minnesota receives: C Kurt Thomas (11.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 80 games)
PG Moochie Norris (3.5 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.8 apg in 66 games)
Change in team outlook: +4.4 ppg, +6.2 rpg, and +2.5 apg.

Cleveland trades: C Zydrunas Illgauskas (15.3 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 1.4 apg in 31.3 minutes)
PF Ira Newble (4.0 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 1.1 apg in 19.4 minutes)
Cleveland receives: SF Tim Thomas (14.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.9 apg in 66 games)
C Nazr Mohammed (7.4 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 0.5 apg in 80 games)
Change in team outlook: +2.8 ppg, +0.2 rpg, and -0.1 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to New York, Minnesota, and Cleveland being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. New York, Minnesota, and Cleveland had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Send Minny $3m for Moochies contract. Newble is just a throwin. I'd prefer if we could get Diop instead (young, big, got potential), but thats not gonna happen. Plus, we get another roster space.

Dont think I've been too Knick friendly here. Have I?

Don't get so excited abut pre-season numbers and all. TT will be fine.
Those of you who want to trade him now, will be crying when we don't have a forward who can score at least 15 points a game consistently. We all know he could rebound better but he's the best we've got. Have a little faith in the guy. He played well for the Knicks when he wasn't hurt.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Yes. The day we get Ilgauskus and Wally for TT, KT and Nazr AND dump Moochie is the day I'll . . . I don't know, do people still eat their hat? Fine, then I'll do that.

The Knicks are the only team involved that I could see doing that trade.

Dont see why. The basis of the trade is that Mimmy want to get rid of Wally. So we give them KT who they are interested in, a tough enforcer-type player, and Moochie as filler, with the 3m to offset his C until its a valueable expiring one.

Cleveland get another high-level player in TT to take the limelight off The King. And, granted they lose their Centre, but they're getting one back as well. Right now, who are they playing at SF? LBJ. But only because they dont have much else. Put TT in there, move LBJ to SG where he belongs, and they dont have to be playing two PG's in their backcourt anymore. They might be losing Z, but this trade makes them a much more conplete team.

i really like that trade....

it's even on all sides.....and answers questions....

Cleveland gets to put Lebron back in the backcourt and have Timmy play sf....plus they still get Nazr to play center.

Minnesota gets KT and some insurance for Troy and Cassell with Moochie.

Damn the Knicks get Z and Wally in the same trade? Even if it makes sense would those tema agree to give the Knicks a center and a new power fwd?

my point exactly. Thanks Spree.

Newble was just a filler in the deal. Dont think anyone will care either way. He's just another overpaid player to add to the ranks already at the Knicks.

Minny didn't want KT earlier in the summer. They don't need a $7 mil backup PF playing 12 mpg.

A 7'3" center who gives you 2.5 blocks a game and has a $15 mil expiring contract is far, far more valuable than TT. Marbury's probably the only player we could give up to get Zydrunas, which obviously wouldn't be worthwhile.
