Are these from an online source or are they just your newest rankings?

What's the point of new rankings every few games (esp. preseason)? I guess beginners just rush to judgement very frequently

The point would be that the knicks are coming off two blowouts. We gotta put out the rankings now before they bounce back, right Briggs?

LMAO!

If they do bounce back and have a good game, Briggs will be a little more optimistic. If they have a bad game, though, we'll get new rankings again. I bet Briggs will undergo at least 20 mood swings between now and the end of the season.

Nah BRIGGS, you must take Detroit out of that number one slot. They're on a 3 game loosing streak! And you know what that means. When the champs go on a 3 gams loosing streak during the preseason they're obviously in trouble.

So based their play (just like NY and Bos) you MUST now take them out of their number one slot. They're in trouble! And their preseason plays proves it.

How about Detroit in about the 5th place slot now?

bear in mind that big ben has been injured, and they have a remodeled team w/McDyess, and trying to give Milicic more time. also losing Oker and Mike James, (which is'nt that big a deal) but the combination of all those factors can be. they may not be the best team in east, but they're not as bad as the 5 spot. they may be the in the top 2 or 3.

LOL Actually I was being sarcastic. I consider Detroit the best team in the whole entire league until someone knocks them. They're the team to beat...period.

My point was, just because they're on a 3 game loosing streak it doesn't knock them out of the number one slot. This is preseason for God's sake. It's time to experiment. Not only that, but now is the time where coaches have to deal with stuff like mistakes and mental lapses so he can know where the team really is and what needs to be polished and/or altered.

Detroit in 5th place....I was obviously just kidding. I was just following BRIGGS' pattern of overreacting to preseason play that's all.

Boston, Cleveland, Orlando, Philly, Washington......

These guys look alot better and seem to have more talent than the Knicks.

Deng and that other foreign dude they drafted might make Chicago good all of a sudden too.

Then again Lenny seems to be the only coach still not settling into a regular rotation.....

Penny seems slower, Timmy seems lazy, Nazr and Baker seem out matched.

SweetNey and Ariza are the only ones taking things serious. Crawford was hot but he seemed to cool off. Marbs is definately pacing himself.

Maybe the Knicks aren't as good as we think.
I still thing the Knicks match up with all of them.....I just would like to see Lenny settle more into a steady rotation.

You are kidding me? The first three teams are expected in the top three but after that it is still a little black and white. I don't think the Knicks will be that bad, I say they will fly around .500 this year. The C position might look out of whack but I believe Nazr eventually will pick his game up. Dude need to stay out of foul trouble and more playing time.
Knicks are happening and have a Unicorn.

I agree with EnY's take on chicago. Nocioni (sp?) and Deng will have the 3 spot locked for years. Henrich, Gordon, Curry... Chandler is having a great Preseason.

I think they're pretty accurate. You know who the top 3 will be, Cleveland has one of the best players in the league, Philly has depth and is playing well, Orlando's frontcourt is much better than ours, the Wiz and Knicks are neck and neck.

Crawford's back to his shooting 1-11's, the frontline absolutely stinks, and they have no outside shooting. What merits them to be any higher?

I bet when H20 comes back and spreads the floor with his shooting the same "H20 nay-sayers" will welcome that with open arms! The only GOOD SHOOTER on our roster must return sooner or later. You can't win with slashers only. And that's a fact.

I do believe BRIGGS is being a bit harsh here. But Detroit will be the best team until someone knocks them. Likewise, these new-look Knicks haven't done anything yet to warrant a higher ranking. True, these new-look Knicks look better than last year's group. But we have to prove that we are better than last year. And I strongly believe (hope) that they will be better than last year and we'll move up in the rankings.
