it's only pre-season right! were better than Clev Wash Orlando Boston Chicago etc.. no doubt about it! there is NO way just cant happen that we can start off with something like 10-20 over the first 30--the hard evidence was prevelant over the last two--we ARe an UPPEr echlon team. Marbury crawford Nazr TT Sweetney! were going to make people notice! we showed them last night! That Spurs victory looks pretty good now that they lost their third staright game. Hey Tim D played 19 minutes against us! its only pre-SEASON! this doesnt count no need to panic. we dont have a selection of incosistnet ineffecient smallish players WE ARE GOOD! Atlantic divison champs 51-31 and were locked in for the ECF. you heard it here first hey im an optimist!

oh my the drama...

The only thing that has disappointed me about this preseason has been the play of Nazr. Aside from that I think we are fine and will win 45-48 games. We will also be fighting for a division title in the last 2 weeks of the season.

You're obviously a beginner, Briggs, so I'm gonna let you in on a secret. Most 45 win teams have many ups and downs throughout the season. It's not gonna be any different with the Knicks.

its all a learning process. Lets see how they respond to being spanked. Marbury "the leader" spoke up about their effort as a team. Lets see how they respond.

The only concern I have is that we are getting zero, zilch, doodoo from the centers. Baker and Nazr arent stars but they should be decent role players. I have no idea why they have been able to give us nothing at all. Maybe they need to be a little more involved, I dont know.

Wow you seem pretty pissed off...

I think the Knicks will do fine against the East, but will struggle when teams have like 5 7-footers to throw on the floor.

They shot 31%, starters played sparingly. Relax dude.

I've always thought they'd win between 44 and 48 games, and win the Atlantic, I'm not changing my prediction b/c they were shooting 31% against the Mavs in preseason.

it is crazy to expect anything from Nazr ESPECIALLY defense.

As I wrote earlier,Id be happy if the Knicks make it to the second round,I still believe that is possible.The Knicks are in a good position to find a big man next year with all the expiring contracts we have.If we cant find someone at that time,then we may have a reason to be concerned but not at this point.This turnaround isnt going to happen overnight.

Baker is another guy who should be able to be a pretty good defender at 6'11'' but refuses to play defense!

We are not gonna win 50 games, nobody in there right mind ever suggested something like that, maybe as a very optimistic wish.

However, we will win between 43 and 45 games, and the division, go to the playoffs, and make it to the 2nd round. Where we will be spanked by either Indy, Detroit, or Heat.

Thats a step up from being sweapt out of the 1st round and finishing below .500.

Making a real team takes time. We still don't have a center. A legit 7 footer makes all the differcne in the world. Thats why Deke was so nice before he fell off in the end of the year. Hell, Cato would make this team look good for like 48 wins.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
