I do think Booker is possible with a lot of draft capitol going out. Hard to envision a deal that doesnt cost you guys like IQ tho

Yeah I knew the Thibs/KAT thing would get brought up. I don't see it happening but given the connection to the rest of the staff, I wouldn't be surprised if they fixed their differences at some point. That's if KAT changes his game as he gets older. Right now he's an empty stats player who's style of play and lack of improvements have caught up with him. It seems like forever ago he was viewed as the best young player in the league. As for Booker, I think he's a guy we most likely end up with at some point. Phoenix is playing well and Booker is learning to win alongside Chris Paul, but in 3 years Chris Paul will be probably done and Booker will be looking at a different situation in Phx.

C Robinson PF Randle SF Barrett SG Booker PG Quickley is something I would bet on.

Beal, LaVine, or Booker. Any of them would plug in nicely in a lineup at the SG alongside Mitch, Randle, Barrett, and Quickley.

3 or 4 Kentucky guys in the line-up. This is after-all a main reason this front office and coaching staff is in place, to convince these guys to eventually come, once the culture change is well-established.

I really hope it doesn't take 4 more seasons for us to be legitimate contenders. As much as I like the way we are playing heading for a pick in the late lottery or even 15 or 16 is not helping us take the next step. Until we find that number 1 option we will spin our wheels

It’s hard to conceive of the Knicks being able to compete against LAL or LAC in less than 4 without some really incredible set of facts. Even if they signed the top 2 free agents this coming offseason and won the draft lottery and draft Cade Cunningham, not sure they are there against the depth these superfriend teams...

Marc Gasol for instance would be the centerpiece of NY were he here. There, he’s kind of just a supporting cast member.

I think the 4 year thing is acknowledging our kids need to develop in order to draw free agents while recognizing the free agent pool lacks depth these days based on the benefits of extending with original teams.

Think of it like this. Kawhi has LAC in decent shape, but head to head with LAL, I’m betting on LAL in a best of 7. Add Kawhi and the next best FA and the #1 draft pick to this team... are we beating LAL this year after they add another 10mm ex All-Star? Or if they break the bank for Beal...
