I mean we suck when he's off the floor. The whole dynamic of everything changes. When he's on the floor the defense is top notch. When he's off its just bad. On offense he's the equalizer when Randle, Elf and RJ are diving into a crowded paint its Mitch there to clean stuff up and knowing this those guys simply play better when Mitch is on the floor.

Thibs has teased that we have not seen anything yet.

Mitch seems to love the game and he's really an elite athlete. He moves like Durant moves out there. His physical attributes make him so special. He's just learning to stay on the floor and his impact is among the highest on the team despite modest production.

I'm looking g forward to seeing what a year of proper development under this coaching staff does to him. He seems to be a quick learner, though weirdly almost gets reset at the start of each season. I remember he made strives when we traded for Deandre Jordan. Think he also started quickly improving under Mike Miller. I'm really hoping there's untapped potential there- we really need him to take some big steps forward.

He's not a professional yet. Never had the basics really ground into him. Doesn't yet know how to teach or manage himself, especially in offseason.

Hopefully the dev staff can still work his clay and keep it moving forward

Is that because he is the tallest?

Right now he looks like a potential Clint Capela, DeAn Jordan. If he gets any kind of outside or post up game then who knows. But considering he did not play college ball and was a late bloomer, you may be right. But like every other player we have he is just a big question mark. I am more focused on him improving his Basketball IQ. Especially on the defensive side. He is gifted naturally to block shots but if he turns into a Tyson Chandler type defensive player I for one will be very happy.

Would agree. I don't agree with some that keep saying he needs to be a three point shooter or even a solid mid range shooter. Think if he develops a bit of a post up game and can attack the basket from 10 feet once in a while, that would be fine on offense. Really just want him to continue to develop his all around defensive game. Every team needs that.

just get good at setting screens and learn one goto offensive move. He just needs an answer to the "we know you wont shoot it" defense
