During the pre-season and couple of early game of the season, Mitch was lost and played like in previous years. Feel like the coaching staff corrected him VERY quickly and it has shown since. Mitch plays just under 30 minutes a game? He is dog tired with just those minutes. IMHO he is nowhere in near top physical shape for NBA player. He didn't properly work on a shot during the offseason. Dude has got to step up Official sponsor of the PURE KNICKS LOVE Program

I love that when he comes in its green light from the moment that sub horn goes hooonk. The reason why IQ has excelled in that role and probably why they figured pairing IQ with Rose should work, is because this was IQ role in college. So having a similar role in the NBA, will definetly help him. Most of the top picks usually struggle, because they are forced into a role that not familiar with them. RJ is an example of somebody who was used as a point forward in college...and a closer. IQ played with a Rose type guard in Maxey, so IQ is used to that. If IQ was the stand alone PG, that's a role he needs to grow into, since it's something he did not successfully have in college. Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.

I don't think starting will take away from Quick's ability or inability to learn the league, etc. The offense runs-through Randle most of the time anyway. Quick is a very intellegint player who seems to pick on the nuances of the game very fast. Don't think he would be overwhelmed as a starter. At one point, Quick was one of the league leaders in 4th quarter point average which was/is mostly against other teams starters. LaMelo Ball's individual play and the team's play took-off once he was placed in the Hornets starting line-up. I'm fine with him coming off the bench...Like I said, would like to see him get 25 mins per game at the very least. Also, want to see him get some minutes with RJ to open things up for him. Admittedly, some of my reasoning behind this is the fact that I'm not a fan of Elfrid's game... |

When Mitch stopped fouling out, we improved our chances of winning, with his D. I call that stepping up. Mitch really had no foundation to learn the game, aside from pickup b-ball with blkexec. Love the way knicks have handled IQ and super happy. “Sure Fire Super duper Star?” I’m not ready to go there because I’m enjoying this in the here and now.
Be great when Obi can get an off season under Payne. We forget he was drafted two weeks before a two week camp. Imagine that, all year not knowing when the draft is, then BOOM go from draft night to 4 weeks later OPENING NIGHT! |

Right now we have the poster boy for over-achievement-out-of-practically- nowhere All Star Randle, and a collection of FA flotsam that are all playing their roles at or close to perfection. RJ is what you see, which is easy on the eyes, because he never stops moving. The one thing about all these stats and particularly about this vid, is his defense. Part III was slightly less than enthralling, unless there's something great about not stopping someone from hitting a bunny in your face and then standing still, or doing nothing while somebody else's man drives to the basket. I'd expect better material for a YoutubeQuickley product. But hopefully, the muscle and coaching will right that right Quick. |

But his shot creation chops of the dribble aren't good and I'm still not sure he would answer the PG concerns on this team. His unassisted field goal % is worrisome. Haliburton is 37.8%. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.
