Leon Rose sure took his time rolling out that Covid vaccine 🤔

I'll start with retaining Miller in some capacity. Should have kept him as an assistant. Tell Thibs to suck it up and at least Miller would have told Thibs to play Frank.

Yes it would undermine Thibs authority. But you gotta sacrifice something.

Why should this thread be different than any other thread?

I probably wanted Halliburton or Deni over Obi but it's not like I know anything. Quickley surprised me as the pick but got on board, um, quickly. Would have appreciated a true point guard besides Payton (who is fine as a backup) but that would have perhaps hindered Quickley in the long run. And I would like to see Frank get a real shot but what are ya gonna do? Other than these quibbles I am hopeful in the team's philosophy and direction.

So Mike Miller should have been retained so that Frank could get more minutes?? That type of reasoning was the purpose of this thread, no?

The reason why I wanted Miller retained is because we were playing better with him at the end of the year. As a rebuilding team you need continuity. You need to try to squeeze every bit of value out of the players we have.

Thibs may be a better coach. I posted this because the FO went ahead and did something that I don't agree with. I might not cry about it all season but might as well make the most of this thread.

Look Mike Miller may have had a chance if Perry remained in charge..a new FO is going to ride with their guy and not a prior regime 1st yr coach a year out of 5he G league....Thibs is light...I mean light years better than Miller for now and where we ultimately end up where we want to go...that man has forgotten more basketball than Miller, Fiz, and Horny combined....however he is no miracle worker by any stretch....the roster is devoid of real solid bedrock talent not thru any fault of his...free agency has been a $hit$how...and internal development did not exist....excluding this draft we have 4 players that have been in the top 10 in the past 3 drafts....with the exception of RJ..they are either unplayable or 2-3 yrs later we are still talking about seeing “flashes”...look at any other team and even their misses are better than ours

Look Thibs was brought in to separate the wheat from the chafe....and he is going to do exactly that...Miller...Fiz...Hirny...Fish...could not do that...

Our draft talent base starts from RJ and Mitch....everyone else aside from this draft is suspect...

I will agree that Thibs is a better coach.

MIller did better than Fiz but that does not mean you keep him given the change of FO. This was a top to bottom cultural Perry remains (For now) he fits in with this group. Does not matter who hired him. HE did not create the mess we had and perhaps had ideas that were in line with Leons goals. Will he stay beyond this year is anyone’s guess. How do we measure Perry’s performance? We can’t. We don’t know the parameters for evaluation set forth by Perry’s boss. For the 100th time most team GM’s do don’t set the agenda. Most of the time its the owner. Then its the team president. Dolan has been back and forth on this.
Perry walked in the Melo Mess. Perry also had to deal with the damage already done to KP and his situation. What’s done is done.
Until results change we’ll keep making the same assumptions because fans do that.

We should have drafted Christian Wood when we had the chance. Before he won his MVP. And all those chips. By himself. Okay, now I'll shut up.

Yeah. Every one of them. They could have been won as a Knick.
