can't believe this hasn't been trademarked yet

i wish there were a search button on the forum. Last year i mentioned i suck as projecting college talent but also said the part of the game i saw of Kentucky (to check Tyresse) I kept thinking this other unheralded guy kept playing smart

felt the same way when rumors started about drafting him and of course when we drafted him

AND NO, not in a million years did i see this. I though we would just get a contributor. but right now he's the straw that's stirring the drink and i don't think it's even really started. we're just seeing tip of the iceberg of an old school guy making his teammates better and punishing the opponent when ignored.

He’s not real fast but he’s such a good change of pace player and makes good decisions and obviously can shoot. No doubt he’s a good player. Maybe the answer at PG.

Who does he remind everyone of in the nba right now ?

Steve Nash, definitely, with a hint a John Stockton's vision, Jason Kidd's defense and Peyton Pritchard's all around play.

he moves his feet on D

he has a 6' 10" wingspan but he's not lazy with his feet, relying on his reach

he's drawing fouls and hitting FTs

and i don't think it's a coincidence that KK is playing well. I am sure he is inspiring confidence in KK too

and not reading too much into it, but Jeremy and Landry Fields were very religous, and i get the sense Squiggy is too -- humble person

After thinking about it, I want to say his style reminds me of Malcolm Brogdan. The way he's under control, those awkward little runners and the way he leverages his J to get into the paint.

I can see Brogdon. I see George hill a lot in terms of build and overall strengths and weaknesses.

I gotta be honest, him, KK and Bullock have been shooting the lights out from three. Bullock and Knox are sharing minutes, but none of the other PGs are showing a 3 pt you need to respect not are they showing the leadership on the floor.

The team looks better with 3pt shooter. If only we could play the Pistons and Cavs every game...

IDK, would you rather have a very good shooter, POA defender, non super speed, non flashy passing PG or a taller flashy passing, poor defending, poor floor spacing Ball who makes a lot more $$?

Ball has not beaten out Rozier or Graham for the starting PG spot

is there a way to sticky this?

payton played well tonight but seriously we were at a different level with Squiggy on the court. he plays awesome and his team perks up too. he's out there directing traffic even if he doesn't have the ball in his hands. ball flows.

E.g., Knox plays better because he genuinely expect the ball at the right time in the right place, and Squiggy inspires confidence in him that he can hit that shot. i think the same is true for OBi too but we'll need to wait a bit longer

that strip of Trae tonight!!!

He misses the feel of a normally functioning shooting elbow after a few too many Thibs practices.
