line up: Frank, Quickly, RJ, Toppin and Mitch

Frank's best PG play comes in a structured offense. If we learned anything from international play where he was great vs NBA competition its that.
Quickly is our best natural shooter and was an excellent defender in college

Basically I would like to see a lot of P&R with Frank and Toppin. Then you can move Frank to the corner where he shoots the 3 at 50% and run the ball through RJ and you have Frank (corner), Quickly and Toppin spreading the floor. Mitch can crash the boards and clean up RJs drives or look for lobs.

And thats it. Run the ball through RJ and Toppin until.

Bullock fits nicely as SG there also as a 3&D guy.
RJ and DSjr are interchangeable in those sets
Noel and Mitch are interchangeable

-defend the perimeter
-protect the rim
-attack the basket, spread the floor

A lot people like Miller last year but he sucked. We watched Elf/Randle grind out possession after possession while RJ got froze out and there was clearly zero commitment to development past Fizdale taking the kids out for candy and an NBA playoff game.

The fastest track to a better team will be developing RJ/Toppin as primary scorers and putting Frank/Mitch/Knox/DS/Quickly into roles they can thrive in. If we suck we suck, but thats how you get better. Thibs can lean on any vets he wants and that is understandable, but we have wasted so much time with these young players already

Agreed about our young players getting enough floor tome together to develop chemistry. I would add Dennis and Knox to that mix. With the confidence the staff is instilling in Knox, and the structure, I think Kevin is ready to have a really good season. This year should be used as a evaluation/ development year for our core.

I would rather see Quickley get some burn running the PNR with Obi and Mitch. Quickley shoots it too well for the defender to go under the pick, and if the defender chases behind him, Quickley has a beautiful floater in the lane. His shooting will open up Obi and Mitch rolling to the basket. I think Quickley has a ton of potential and I hope gets a look at some point....

Frank is a good option spotting up in the corner for kick outs...

This is a make or break year for Frank, DSJr, among other players on short term deals.

We're figuring out this season who will stick, and eho will be part of the core going forward. To hopefully play with some solid FA signings. As well as some good picks, in a special draft
