Both he and the Knicks ought to benefit from a trade and the Thunder seem like a perfect marriage for Knox. They'll have the minutes and infrastructure to give him the best shot to develop into an NBA player. Could we wrangle one of the 17 first round picks they'll have in the next 3 drafts? Is a late first and two good seconds a reasonable ask?

They are not trading Knox for picks unless it is in the 2021 draft...with Payne on the staff they are in straight rehabilitation mode with Knox....if they can turn Knox confidence into the player from his first summer league sprinkled with defensive effort and 39% from 3 shooting......this will be well worth the 1.5 we are paying Payne..

OKC is a better place? Why, becaue we are stacked at the position or fans are impatient? All sounds so great that we can draft a new player that is somehow ready to play. Rarely works that way. Donovan Mitchell’s don’t grow on trees.
If he has “Value now” thats because another example thinks he will be good. Otherwise why trade for him.
We got a new staff and coaches. Let it happen.
All we are saying is, give Payne a chance..........

Thinking if we was good enough to warrant a 1st and 2 second's you probably wouldn't be ready to get rid of him.

He’s still so young. NY is a tough place for a young kid, I would let the 16 assistant coaches we just hired beat him up a little bit.

If they can work on his foot work, get him to attack the basket and stop settling for long jumpers, we can definitely build his value.

Agree. Dont see the rush. We havent seen what Knox,Frank,DSJr Mitch,RJ, look like after the time off. They've all apparently been working hard.

As for Frank and DSJr. The offseason workouts are important. Wont mean anything if they cant stay reasonably healthy during the season. Thats played a part in their lack of real progress. Hoping this was a priority in the offseason. Not just bulking up.

Knox will start to improve this year. If the coaching staff Start seeing signs of him developing into his frame and talent they will try to extend his contract long term on a good cheap deal.

Either we will have a beast in year 4 and 5 when he fills out or he is a bust. Don’t expect an all star in the first 25 games. Look for improvements in his game that tells you he is coming into his own.

I would take a lottery protected 2023 First Round Pick. However, I don't see the point of trading him right now. Our roster is probably the worst in the NBA so we might as well go young. I woud prefer we trade Randle and let Knox and Obi split time at PF

The problem with Knox is he has no lateral quickness which makes him a horrible team defender
