I’m still looking for the opening day roster.
If it stands as is I’m looking for development and perhaps closure on one or both of Frank and Dennis.
Looks like we rolling with them, Knox and Iggy.

Frank = nba level offense( gimme 8-12 pts per game on much improved efficiency) or he’s gone.
Knox = much better shooting %s. He has way better shooting potential than numbers suggest so he’s got to start putting them up. I also want to see improved defense. idc if he’ll still be a bad defender but at least don’t be an instant liability the moment he’s on the court.
Toppin = not worried about his offensive output but same as Knox, hoping he’s doing 1000 defensive slides a day until pre season.
RJ = better finishing at the rim( more promise of a right hand) and FT needs to go up to at least the mid 70s. He’s more than capable of that. Added bonus if he can increase 3pt %
Mitch = consistently staying out of foul trouble and being able to set a pick. I’m still not convinced as many others on here that he’s ready to start because he’s missing a lot of basics but if he can do those two things I’ll be very happy.
Quickley = shooting #s and defense to translate. Improvement as a movement shooter as well. Added bonus if he can demonstrate better passing.

Even if this core do all of these things while continuing to do the things they already do well we will likely still only win 30ish games, but I’ll be very happy with our progress and we’ll be in a fantastic spot going into next years draft/FA.

Closure is a great way for putting what should be expected this season from Frank and DSJr. It will be healthy for all to do everything possible so we can finally determine what we have with them and whether they hate any future here.

Pulling for both to have comeback seasons so we can clearly decide who has a future with us and who can be hopefully flipped for an asset.

I'm looking for Barrett, Robinson, Toppin, and Knox to have some big growth. That's a win regardless. I don't see a future here for Ntilikina and Smith with Payton, Rivers, Bullock, Burks, and Quickley in the mix. Hoping the latter 4 bring enough 3pt shooting to compliment the young core.

most seem to get it... except 1248 but thats normal.

You want to see your young players progress and grow, plain and simple. I especially want to see Thibs coaching. I do believe we will be much better prepared run something besides the Elf/Randle spin play.

I really expected us to do what the hawks did and surround our youth with the type of winning vets.

last yr we had 6 pf

this yr 6 pg....NONE ARE CONSIDER TRUE PG'S you cant play 6 guards, so DSJ and FRANK may not see any real minutes

This is Perry hard at work.

Of course you want to see players take their game to the next level, thats the goal every single game, so that question is pretty obvious.

I just want Thibs to play Frank, Knox, RJ, Mitch as many minutes as he can give. We have to figure out who is worth keeping and who needs to be traded. I have already given up on DSJr. We just need to trade him as I like Quickley better as a future pg prospect. If Toppin improves his defense, then we should look to trade Randle at the deadline if a good deal materializes. We will also probably trade Burks and Austin at the deadline for second round picks. Noel should be kept as the longterm backup to Mitch.

Agree with most of the comments here (other than the dumb tank ones). My long term hope is that from RJ, Obi, Mitch, Frank, and Quickley maybe 4 of them 3 at worst become good to great core players for the Knicks to build around. If one of Knox or DSJ became a serviceable pro that would be awesome. Among the others perhaps a couple will assert themselves as good team guys going forward. In the meantime don't be stupid and trade picks for short term sugar rushes that clog up cap maneuverability. Rather do the opposite - maybe a Randle improves his value a bit and we flip him for a future 1st. Even a Payton or Rivers.

Noel will be solid for many years. Maybe add one more center on the roster who can shoot well from distance.

When you do, avoid any links that have "Sister wives" in them.
