http://msn.foxsports.com/story/3091542 Nuggets sign ex-Knicks guard DerMarr Johnson Associated Press DENVER (AP) - Former New York Knicks guard DerMarr Johnson signed a contract Monday with the Denver Nuggets, Johnson, a 6-foot-9 shooting guard, played 21 games last season for the Knicks. Terms of his contract were not announced. Johnson, the sixth overall pick in the 2000 draft, played alongside Dennis Rodman with the Long Beach Jam before being signed by the Knicks on Feb. 3. He averaged 5.4 points and 1.9 rebounds for New York. Drafted by Atlanta, Johnson averaged 6.7 points in 150 games in his first two seasons and had a career-high average of 8.4 in 2001-02. In September 2002, he was seriously injured in an auto accident and missed the entire season. |
