Jamison Brewer can't shoot free throws...0-6!

I don't know if I want him as the primary backup.
i was just flippin' out about the same thing.

down by 32 their scrubs are putting it on us now. this could be a serious morale killing loss. getting absolutely blown out hard will put them in their respective place. we will get 43-44 wins because we face enough BAD teams.

ill tell you what makes ariza so good. the guy somehow gets into point blank position to shoot right at the basket either dunk or easy shot--in due time those easy shots will go down. but the difference between ariza and a guy like TT is heart--TT NO heart ariza has a lot. IMHO

not watching the game, but I believe it.

2 year prediction: TT will not be on the team and Ariza will be starting.

Ive been saying it all along.. Thomas will have an expiring contract next yr. If Ariza continue to play well, the SF is his and THomas will be used as trade bait..

This loss ruins the season. They shouldn't even play the 82 games

Some people have really short memories. They judge the team based on how the last 120 minutes have gone and reach broad conclusions about an entire season.

Man, chill out, these preseason games don't mean anything. People count them for too much when we win, and count them for too much when we loose. Actually no one game is worth that much in an 82 game season. You should judge a team over a strech, even then you never know whats going to happen, maybe they will turn it around, maybe they will have a collapse, thats why you watch. If you knew what happened after watching one game, it would not be nearly as fun.

Anyways, Sweetney had a good game judging by the stats. Don't really care how Sundov, Barrett, Brewer, and Anderson do, these guys will never get of the bench.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Briggs, you're the same dude who implied that Minnisota dodged a bullet when they only won by 3 points to the Hawks the other day. You said they're one of the worst teams in the league if not the worst. You said we dodged a huge bullet by beating the Nets in the first game. IT'S PRESEASON.

It's funny how some people have very little to say about the team when we're winning. But when we lose it is a curse that will last for the rest of the natural season. Funny.

Mark my words, look at the people who have NOT been regularly posting for the past few days....of course not....we got preseason W's. Now watch the people who come out of the woodworks tonight and tomorrow talking about how this preseason game will represent the entire season.

But this will only expose their lack of knowledge of what the word preseason means.

Looks like Sweetney had a good game.Still havent seen any good stats from Nazr or TT.You guys are right,if Ariza keeps this up we can unload TT.Ariza sounds hungry from what Ive read here.

TT better pick it up in the regular season or he might be coming off the bench before the All-Star break.I dont think Isiah or Lenny will hesitate to bench him or Nazr(If Baker outplays him) if they dont produce, which is refreshing.

Yeah, nothing to get upset about. Marbury and Crawford combined to play 20 minutes. Relax, guys.

Interesting stuff: Nazr didn't start. I wonder if Lenny will do this more often if we're playing size or if this was just to get Bruno some minutes and a long look against Okur. Lenny was clearly resting the dynamic duo in the backcourt. Tim Thomas has NOT looked good. Hard to tell if he's dogging it because it's October or if he's just always dogging it and thinking about his boxing match with Kmart.

Ariza and Sweetney are VERY promising. Starting frontcourt in one year? Hope so. Hopefully we can unload Timmy T for a center. Maybe Dallas will sour on Damps? Zydrunas? Magloire? Someone. No more Nazr, please. He's a dandy backup, but that's all.

"the difference between ariza and a guy like TT is heart--TT NO heart ariza has a lot. IMHO"

Another point about this: Ariza gets to the line 10 times in 23 minutes, Tim Thomas goes 0 times in 17 minutes.

This guy is such a joke. If Ariza can keep playing well, I'd look to deal him. His contract isn't that bad anymore (only 2 years left), I just think he's a distraction. He doesn't play D, he's 6'10" and doens't rebound, and his fugazy rants and Nets bashing is, at this point, mindboggling.

I don't think there's much interest in him, but Ariza is playing so well, he won't be overlooked. I'd love to see Ariza, Crawford, and Sweetney all starting at one point this year.

Trading TT for the best C you can get would make sense. The thing is that his expiring contract would have more value next season. But if you can get a good C for him now, you have to do it. Even if Ariza doesn't pan out, the team would be better off with a better C and JYD and Penny at SF and Nazy just as the backup C.

I was happy that the team is open and tried Bruno at center. He seems to get it done in practice, but is not translating to game.

That means he needs some game experience to fully expose if he has it or not. Obviously Isiah sees someting in him.

Trade TT for a center of unknown? Like who? Some overpaid stiff? TT at his salary level is not desirable unless its for another underachiever.

As much as we all love trevor, he is not ready to start over TT quite yet.

Slow down a little folks. This is pre-season we are talking about. The starters don't have anything to prove right now, specially guys like Marburry or TT. They have already solidified their positions last season. However, all the new-comers: JYD, ARIZA, CRAWFF, have to show what they can really do the coaching staff and GM. Why should TT or Marburry go out there and risk injuring themselves? I can understand that some guys do this everynight, but Marb and TT will be just fine come regular season.

We were out-rebounded almost 2 to 1.. 23 to 39... you can't win like that.
