Usually theres 35 but I played it cool:)
Heres my take and Ive stuck with my take.
We need a alpha shooter. Miami showed why you need an alpha shooter this year and Golden State before that. We have a chance to get an alpha shooter at 8--not good I mean alpha I mean ready to shoot 5-7 threes and make 43-45% of them.
There are nice things about Kira Lewis nice things about Okoro Vessell Halliburton BUT NONE of them can shoot it like Nesmith. We are staring an Allan Houston Klay Thompson like shooter with a great frame good athleticism 6-6 225. Ive looked at the tapes of all these guys. Ive almost brought RJ Hampton down into discussion because he reminds me of Zach Lavine but Id rather just build a team.
What I want to do is move RJ to PG and play Nesmith at the two. That would make us 6--6 6-7 in the backcourt. Give RJ the ball and let Nesmith run around the three point line.If it doesnt work we can move back to a more conventional PG.
But as far as team and draft ==we have a great opportunity to get an alpha 3 point shooter--even if its perceived as 2-4 spots too high--who cares???? Look at him shoot--look at how he finds shots hes incredible from the corner as well. The guy made more 3's in 14 games at 53% than most guys didi in the entire season who are headed to the draft. The guy cabn shoot it!!
Oh yeah Payton Pritchard fir pick 38 if hes there
Lastly Nesmith is not a perfect player. Hes flat footed on D he doesnt take it to the rack very well--hes got kind of slow feet But he can improve. But hes got all the skills in the shooting dept---form set up how to find just an ounce of space---hes got all that down.
