Usually theres 35 but I played it cool:)

Heres my take and Ive stuck with my take.

We need a alpha shooter. Miami showed why you need an alpha shooter this year and Golden State before that. We have a chance to get an alpha shooter at 8--not good I mean alpha I mean ready to shoot 5-7 threes and make 43-45% of them.

There are nice things about Kira Lewis nice things about Okoro Vessell Halliburton BUT NONE of them can shoot it like Nesmith. We are staring an Allan Houston Klay Thompson like shooter with a great frame good athleticism 6-6 225. Ive looked at the tapes of all these guys. Ive almost brought RJ Hampton down into discussion because he reminds me of Zach Lavine but Id rather just build a team.

What I want to do is move RJ to PG and play Nesmith at the two. That would make us 6--6 6-7 in the backcourt. Give RJ the ball and let Nesmith run around the three point line.If it doesnt work we can move back to a more conventional PG.

But as far as team and draft ==we have a great opportunity to get an alpha 3 point shooter--even if its perceived as 2-4 spots too high--who cares???? Look at him shoot--look at how he finds shots hes incredible from the corner as well. The guy made more 3's in 14 games at 53% than most guys didi in the entire season who are headed to the draft. The guy cabn shoot it!!

Oh yeah Payton Pritchard fir pick 38 if hes there

Lastly Nesmith is not a perfect player. Hes flat footed on D he doesnt take it to the rack very well--hes got kind of slow feet But he can improve. But hes got all the skills in the shooting dept---form set up how to find just an ounce of space---hes got all that down.

Do you need an Alpha shooter or an alpha creator? LA had no real shooters, but they have a guy who can consistently create open looks. Is Duncan Robinson that big a factor if he doesn't have JB drawing so much attention? Yes, we need shooters, but we need a lot of things. We need talent. If Nesmith is the best player on the board when we pick, then so be it. But I'm not entirely sure Nesmith is the best shooter this year.

I suppose you want to move RJ to pg because they play similar positions and RJ at the small forward loses his size advantage on O. I can go along with that and I can totally see RJ playing the Harden role. We don't need another guy that cannot shoot but takes it to the rack instead. RJ already does that for us.

As for the pick we need the best shooter at 8. It's really that simple. Remember how we almost got Curry ? That would have been a wrap. He came in with questions in his game as well. Now we have that chance if he is there when we pick( doubt it) I think Nesmith- goes before Obi and Okoro

Everything you have ever wanted is on the other side of fear- George Adair

I agree with nesmith but I think the Knicks and thibs prefers to trade up and get ball or trade our future for Westbrook.it’s New York. It’s all about the splash and rushing things here. I also think they prefer okoro Vassell and Hayes over nesmith. Don’t get your hopes up to high.

The best hopes of getting nesmith is if they trade down and try to get 4 or 5 picks tommorow. I would go with having 5 picks if I was running the show.

Many of the great shooters don’t get drafted high. Even Klay Thompson was 13-14. But their value is ultimately felt much stronger than draft slot

Really agree with nesmith, I see him as a Middleton type of player.reason why he is so low in draft boards is his limited games, but if you look at the games he played, he was a marked man but got his 3's in multiple ways.

Briggs is correct, looking at past drafts, shooters always end after top 10-booker,herro,thompson, but if you do a re draft they will be in the top5. Nesmith is an unknown, but his shooting and his player profile suggests there is potential to be tapped.

I like Nesmith at 8 if a Vassell doesn’t fall to us. Nesmith’s shooting was off the charts last year tho it’s a small sample because he got injured and Covid ended the season early

I was there on draft night pounding the table for Steph Curry who was picked one spot ahead of the Knicks
