![]() I don’t see how we get both but I expect Maxey, Lewis or Hayes as the 8th pick at this point.

![]() At first glance Lewis reminds me of SGA.
Only issue I have is how public this info is becoming. https://vote.nba.com/en Vote for your Knicks.

We don’t quite know this new front office and coaching staff besides Perry so dinner might not always mean “we are picking you.” We don’t know if they had dinner with other dudes. “Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute

![]() I think it’s Okoro and Lewis or Okoro and Hampton.

![]() newyorknewyork wrote:At first glance Lewis reminds me of SGA. I don't see the SGA comparison. SGA came in as a bigger guard and a defense-first guard. Lewis's official measurements are 6'2 (6'3 in shoes) 180 with a 6'5 wingspan. Considering his size and style of play, he reminds me a bit of a younger Jeff Teague. Teague was an above average starting PG and an all-star in a year that the stars aligned in Atlanta. I think this is the type of player we should hope to expect with Lewis. He's on the smaller side, but fast, a great playmaker, a good enough shooter to keep defenses honest, and has enough size and length to not be a defensive liability. I also think the public nature of this is more appropriate this year because teams are limited with their workouts unlike most years when bringing in someone means nothing. The smokescreens may reside where teams and players talk, but these workouts show true interest in drafting the player, because they can only do 10 of them. They also took him out to dinner, which I am going to guess may not happen with all 10 players they work out, but you never know. |

![]() Havent been looking at scouting reports, clips. Guess I have to check these prospects out. I hope we draft at least one PG. In part to push Frank and Dennis.
They're both still young, but having a good rookie PG in their rearview mirror, couldnt hurt. Help keep them on their toes. |

Something about the smoothness they play with. But didn't really dig deeper than that. Just was an initial view. https://vote.nba.com/en Vote for your Knicks.

We need either one of them or whoever brought in to be able to shoot consistently. RJ & Mitch need better spacing around them. https://vote.nba.com/en Vote for your Knicks.

![]() If we want both then I think a trade of DSJ, our 27th pick, our 38th pick, and a future second round pick, plus $3 million should get us into the low teens. We can draft Lewis at 8 and Maxey at 11-13. You then probably move RJ to sf and play Knox as a stretch four.

We can draft Lewis at 8 and Maxey at 12-14. I think it will take more. If they really like Maxey I can see them moving the 27 pick and the Dallas pick next year (Top 10 protected) for a pick in the 12-15 range for Maxey. But a young core of Barrett, Mitch, Lewis, and Maxey (and Knox and Frank to a lesser extent) would be how you jumpstart a rebuild. Maybe they can get away with 27 plus the Dallas 2023 pick to move up, and then buy another 2nd round pick to fill the gap from the loss of 27. Sign Bertans as a free agent and eventually go with PG Lewis SG Maxey SF Barrett PF Bertans C Robinson would be nice! |

Since I don't know anything about shooting technique, the barometer I use on players is FT%, and when they can shoot 80% in college, it's at least an indicator they have potential to learn to be a better shooter. Both Kira and Maxey have those qualities. Maybe they won't be shooters the first year, and that's AOK with me. I'd be ecstatic with drafting Kira and Maxey. Knicks obviously have 8, 27, 38 and a crap load of capspace. Don't know what Boston feels they need but what if they are targeting Onyeka Okongwu at 8? Knicks can facilitate trades while moving up. Should be fun to watch on draft night. Official sponsor of the PURE KNICKS LOVE Program

Hoping Mitch will be taking more jumpers himself. |

In part to push Frank and Dennis. I think Lewis was a 40+ percent catch and shoot player this year. Obviously most catch and shoot comes from the 3pt line. Maxey wasn't a very good catch and shoot player but I have a feeling he would make a jump in that category at some point. His shot mechanics are good. I am intrigued by Maxey, my only concern is I don't know what his best position is. But if RJ is going to handle a lot of playmaking responsibilities going forward than maybe it doesn't matter seeing how Maxey can defend multiple positions. Lewis can't, but at this point Lewis is probably the best offensive fit alongside RJ in the entire draft. If the Knicks are taking that into account as reported, than Lewis should have their high level interest. He pushes the pace as a playmaker and can hit open shots. Lewis would make an excellent pairing with RJ and Mitch as the foundation of the team. Lewis probably has the shooting talent to be a 40% 3pt shooter in the NBA eventually, similar to DJ Augustin or Darren Collison. |
