As a kid things were not so great. Then I found basketball. Maybe basketball found me. 4th grade Knicks won their first chip. My uncle had season tickets and I for the next two years I want to a lot of games. Best season was 1973. Had a dead beat dad but my uncle took an interest in me. Knicks won the second chip. Uncle was 47 and was really making a name for himself. He died that July. Dark clouds on our family but he gave me basketball to escape. Clyde was my favorite knick. He was cool on the court and I had a bad temper. I tried to emulate his cool. Did not always work but I did better than not trying. At age 48 I got what strum down my Uncle. Today’s medical marvels has benefited me and my mom who still goes strong at age 83. Watching highlights of his playing just makes me happy. silky smooth graceful athlete who kept his composure was a joy to watch. Long live Clyde!
