Should the knicks be interested in trading for the the number 5 pick? What package can the knicks give that would interest the cavs? Can the 27th, the second rounder and the Dallas pick the year after get them to deal? Or will a Knox, 27th and 38th be worth it. Essentially replacing knox with Deni here.

Having the 5th(Deni) and 8th(Vasselle or Okoro) pick in this years draft may be interesting.i don't think we need 3 rookies this year.

Should the knick even be interested?

it kind of makes sense for the cavs to trade their pick really to get more complimentary players. they still have to see if sexton jr and garland will work out together even though they could use deni at that pick. also we have to see WHY they are trading. if they are trading the pick to get rid of love, i might want to pass on that.

I’m very intrigued by the Israeli player Deni Avdija. If he’s even 60% of what Luka is he would be a home run for us along with the 8th pick

Love unfortunately has 3 years left on his contract. He absolutely sucks. I dunno it’s a tough call. As much as Love and his contract suck it might be worth it if we can’t get Chris Paul

To me, this year of all years I don't see paying anything like a high price to move up. Mocks are all over the place, no really knows even at the top. It's happened before but number 14 could be much better than #2. Or vice versa. Unless you are just absolutely sure because you trust your scouts.

You must really hate this guy because you want to dump him in every trade. You do realize he's the best player on the roster

The best player on bottom 5 team ain't saying much. He's a turnover prone, black hole who doesn't play much defense nor shoot consistently beyond 18 feet.

You might find this shocking but I don’t hate anybody. Why would I bother hating someone on the Knicks? Who cares if he was the best player on the team? His court vision is terrible, he plays coast to coast way too much, he has no spatial awareness on the court and his shot is lousy.

Don’t worry Knicks. RJ will catch up real soon if he keeps playing the way be does.

Yes, I would like to get back an even better asset for him while he still has value.

Lucky the UK server hasnt melted from your searing Randle hate..

I agree. Randle reminds me of Al Harrington. One minute he's getting buckets. Next minute he's singlehandedly wrecking the offense. Not sure if Thibs can get the second part out of Randle's game.

If he stays, hope its a bench role, until Randle can demonstrate that he can play under control.

Randle needs to come off the bench. If he’s starting and the #1 option yes he’s going create problems for the team

Im hopeful that both Randle and Knox will have a much better season next year thanks the presence of Kenny Payne i the coaching staff.

I also feel the same optimism with Frank and DSJ because if the presence of Johnny Bryant in the staff.

This is the reason why i want the team to stay mostly intact for 1 full year to give their development staff time to work on the youth. Hopefully we can see a better version of these players next year.

Randle and Knox are what they are. I don’t think there’s a way to coach Knox up. Randle can be an effective low post scorer and rebounder.

Think RJ is more of a fan hopeful as a cornerstone. His shooting %'s were woeful. Not saying he is anywhere near being a finished product. Nor that we can know what his ceiling is. But if we look at his shooting thus far, he has a lot to improve before we consider him a cornerstone. I think he is a young prospect who has showed a lot of potential. I am hoping he will eventually become a major part of the franchise. But as we saw with Knox and others, the first year is just the beginning.

As for Randle, feel he was put into a bad position. He seems best suited to play off the ball or in the post. Fiz wanted him to handle the ball more and be the main decision maker. Which was a mistake and where he looked the worst last year.

Smith, Knox and 27 for 5? Maybe grab Vessel and Haliburton?

I’m not sold on our guys, is that too much? Maybe we don’t have to add the Mavs pick but that gives them some potential talent to add to sexton and opens up another trade for them.

I like the idea of getting more guys on rookie deals while shedding dead weight and keeping folks that will be on Mitch and RJs time line and opens up room Frank.

That's too little. Their gonna, at the very least, want 8. Maybe a future pick with limited protections. I wouldn't even consider this until the draft board became clearer.

Not enough, they are going to want us to take on a bad contract. And from managements perspective, having Tom T. as coach, I'm not sure we want more picks.
