![]() I agree that we should not reach for a pg. I am not convinced that Haliburton or Hayes are better than Frank and even if they are, they don’t look significantly better. I would rather fill another need at the wing with a 3 and D player like Vassell or Okoro. Or take a chance on Nesmith as an upgrade in Ellington.

![]() Actually, I would keep him even if he doesn't make huge improvements on the offense end. I'd sign for a relatively cheap contract but I would keep him.
His defense at the end of games and in playoffs alone will make us win games. |

![]() 100%. Frank and Mitch and RJ are the core. Trading any of them away with very few exceptions would be as ill-advised as a John Starks last minute three.
The new new core: Randle, RJ, IQ. Maybe Mitch. Future pick. Future trade. Future FA.

![]() As I said in another thread. If Frank is still here next season, and playing like he did before the lockdown. I hope they extend him. But if Rose gets a great offer, I wouldnt pass on it either. We still dont know if Frank has really turned the corner. We've been teased before.

![]() Your guards have to be one of the best (if not the best) player on your team, that means 20 to 30 points on any given night. You can not have a mediocre guards on your team and win anything. Now if we already had a coupe of scoring guards on the roster (like GSW, portalnd, OKC, Denver, and about 25 other teams) then perhaps..yes as a utility guy.
He's already gotten 3 coaches fired and didn't do much for the interim coach to get retained..New regime, New roster, New culture if you really talking about rebuilding ES

Which can be anything from PG-PF given the makeup of his abilities has to be one of the best. It doesn’t have to come from the PG position. But the PG still has to be a scoring threat just like everyone else. https://vote.nba.com/en Vote for your Knicks.

So this is the crux of it all. Frank will make $6M next year and his Qualifying Offer is $8M for 2021-22. I don't know when QO's have to be made but that's the range. I actually agree with a good number of things you say and think certain posters get on you a bit much.... but this is ridiculous. Horny was done after Franks first year. Fizdale just sucked and by the time Miller was around, the team actually played slightly better. By the time Rose was hired, I think his mind was made up about Thibs. ![]() You never know what came of training camp last year but Frank was coming off of that FIVB tourney and feeling good.
And then Fiz sits both Frank and DSJr over Trier and Elfrid to start the season. Worst decisions ever Official sponsor of the PURE KNICKS LOVE Program

![]() There was a twitter post by daily knicks that showed franks defensive impact vs the mavs it was eye opening WOW. I also saw a beefed up frank from this offseason, frank has the ability to over match his opponent on each end of the floor at 22 college grad age you don’t trade that potential. I see a lot of Pippen in Frank.

![]() As for what I think.... I would like to see Frank be given the keys for the season. Let him be the leader of the squad. I don’t want there to be another PG competition. It doesn’t work. There is zero wrong with giving Frank confidence by announcing from the start- “Frank is the starting PG.”
Unless you 100% think that one of the PGs in the draft this year is a star (which I have my doubts about, as I did in the Lonzo Ball draft) then go for the BPA with the 8th pick. Frank is a vet now. Lets see how good he can be and how reliable he can be. “Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute

![]() As a matter of fact, I would even consider making him the captain of the team. Has he been good enough? NO but maybe this will be the spark that he and the team needs.

I'm not saying he went to management and said it's either me or him, but his below average play contributed to the mountain of losses . The last time we were a good team, our PG's was good (kidd/felton)
He still has to out play DSJ and Harper for back up minutes, and deal with a coach who prefers fast, small, athletic guards who can get into the paint at will. ES

![]() The problem with frank is he doesn't score often or lot points all the time and in today nba you need a scoring point guard to keep the defense honest. There is going to come a point if score at least 10 points and 5 assist more often then is usally 6 points and 3 assist to be average point guard.

![]() I think Thibs will do wonders for Frank and Mitch playing to their strengths and (hopefully) developing their weaknesses in practice etc
the mismanagement of both, particularly Frank, has been astounding. Hopefully we add some firepower in this draft and FA so frank can focus on smart play and great D If we had drafted Draymond Green we would have traded him by now because he can't shoot etc. same too with Deandre, Beverly, probably Kawhi in his early years etc If the guy plays winning basketball you keep him and find a role (5)(7)

OKC doesn't need much offense from Dort, they can afford for him to go 0-9 because the other 3 guards had 20+ a piece. ES

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.
