i think Isiah would love to see Ariza in the dunk contest...it would showcase his talent & would let the rest of the NBA know who they all passed up on.

I had to work and only caught the 4th quarter, Barely saw Ariza play Argh!!!

but after reading this thread all I got to say is

HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!! Jordan gave birth!

he has to be in the rotation. play penny as backup point. I don't like seeing penny shoot a lot anyway.

Man if crawford can shoot a good percentage every night we're in for something special!

wow im so excited, cant wait for the season to start. Im so glad we got crawford and Ariza. And good thing we didnt draft sato, he looked aweful. Good game

there is zero chance of that, but something that would be cool is Ariza and Sweetney facing off in the Rookie vs. Sophmore game.

Guys... Its been so long since the Knicks drafted anyone with talent. Relax. Ariza and Sweetney are going to be nice parts of the rotation. They dont need to be stars. I'm THRILLED we drafted two guys in two years that are going to give us meaningfull contributions.

We need that kind of infectious enthusiasm in here! JYD always manages to make a contribution and I'm glad we overpaid for a player who can actually do something, not some rotting junk on the bench.

JUSt wanted to say, HARDCORE and I was at the game vs Spurs. Honestly, for a pre-season game, it was more packed then a regular season game during Scott LAYDUM's regime..

Over 15,000.00 people yesterday enjoying themselves and watching some nifty highlight reels..(Ariza, Crawford, JYD)

It was pretty hyped for a preseason game. Good way to preview the upcoming season...
Eating a Prime Rib sammich (that tasted damn good for the $10 it cost lol), sippin a Guiness, while watching my Knicks run the floor... What a day...

I know I'll have alot of days like that, whether watching the game live like yesterday or @ home on MSG this season. It's gonna be a fun ride this year. We're gona be flying all over the place in 04-05, stacking up W's- guaranteed!

some things i took away from this game:
1. vin still is a jock. he has no concept of passing. he went up for a shot even when he was surrounded by 3 spurs.

2. sweetney doesn't get the ball enough. i think all those post passes to vin should just go to sweetney. he does something no other knick bigman does, HE GETS TO THE LINE!!! so keep giving him the ball.

3. there will be some games, and i mean some games, where ariza COULD take some minutes away from a timid tim thomas. ariza is pure potential and could get around 10-15 mins/night just on his pure aggressiveness and hustle and during the course of the season, could push for more. and the key here is that he plays defense. when tim goes into those disappearing stretches, i don't think lenny would hesitate for a second to put in skyriza.
