Knicks (1-0) vs. Spurs (0-0)

i hope to see them use Sweetney in the post more today to see how he can fare up against a superior frontcourt of Duncan & Nesterovic...i also hope to see some more highlight reel stuff from Crawford & Ariza...those 2 are going to be exciting to watch all year.

Wow! Its too early for this thread isnt it? Ahh well its off season. We have nothing else to talk about anyway. I think Ariza should get more minutes today. I wanna see Sweetney guard Duncan. Atleast try and contain him. Lets hope Crawford also learns not to pull the trigger to quick.

they're shooting the lights out so far...both teams are...the Knicks look real fluid though, but it helps that SA is playing zero D.

Crawford & TT look good early

LOL. Nesterovic is making a real mockery of Nazr's defense right now.

On the flip side, Crawford and Marbury look awesome together!

Sweetney has lost a lot of weight.

Crawford looks great when he concentrates on taking the shots he can make.

Sweetney replaces Nazr andand draws a foul on Duncan by defending him tightly and boxing him out well on the rebound. Good stuff.

Crawford is doing it all right now.

I dont see it for some reason. I really hope he keeps losing weight though. The last thing we need is another Clarence Weatherspoon.

I don't think Sweets has lost weight, but he does look more fit than he did last season.

I agree. He drives to the rim and then instead of looking for contact, he fades away from it and misses a tough shot. The Knicks went a little cold to end the quarter when Marbury and KT came out.

Ariza is a good rebounder. One of my best friends out here sat through UCLA hoops last year and told me I'd be thrilled with Ariza and amazed by his rebounding.

26-25 NY start of the second. Ariza had an eventful start. He hustled to get an offensive rebound and almost muscled it in. But then he lost his man on the fast break.

Crawford has 12 pts. after the 1st quarter...

right now, it's Sweetney, JYD, Penny, Ariza & Brewer on the floor

Watching what has transpired so far Baker and Nazr are going to be major liabilities on defense this season. Ariza is pretty impressive looking for a rookie. He threw a terrific lead pass in the post to JYD to lead to a foul.
