A point guard to keep an eye out as a free agent signing could be Argentinian Facundo Campazzo. There are reports that they have scouted him and likes his passing game. Minnesota has him on his radar also and they might have an edge with pablo prigioni part of their staff.

Facundo is 29 yrs old he can still give the knicks a solid 5 year career. Its not certain if the knicks will be serious bidders for him in the summer.

Yeah passing ability and seeing the floor he’s amazing. It’s just every other aspect Of his game that concerns me. Ask yourself do you realistically see him as a legitimate PG in this league?

Here is what i found on him. One problem that he might encounter in the NBA is being able to finish to the basket, he is listed at 5'11" only. He is very crafty though. During the Fiba tournament he performed well against team USA. He shot 35% from 3s this n Europe this year.

I dunno about Campazzo, but the video showed former Knicks Shane Larkin and Alexy Shved getting busy. I'm petitioning to bring Alexy back!

The fact that another 5 11" pg is on the knicks rader, kind of gives you an idea of what kind of PG Thibs wants

Seems as if Hayes and especially Haliburton are not what they are looking for.

So that leaves okoro vassel nesmith Kira and maybe Anthony.

Well they are also hot on the 6 7" Lamelo Ball train and have the assets to get him.

From a functional standpoint, to buy out his international contract, with likely adjustments, would probably cost about 1 million dollars. This is from the Knicks annual cash allotment for trades. Spending on Campazzo reduces their ability to buy a late 2nd round pick. Or even consolidate all their money and buy a marginally higher 2nd round pick. There may be some impact on flexibility for trades.

The biggest reasons for these kind of buyouts is to maintain a pipeline with Real Madrid. ( Basically a polite and league legal bribe) Teams understand they aren't likely going to get the next Doncic based on these relationships, but they hope they get a leg up on getting the next Ibaka.

When Campazzo's contract clears internationally, then sure, take a look. Why not. But as long as its an international buyout? Maybe not so much for a 30 year old who is not an elite shooter.
