With all the changes you think the knicks cant’ develop players?
Because:
Too many distractions?
The Water?
Practice facility in Westchester?
Because Perry?
Because the cologne Mills used can still be smelled?
the draft this year is weak and I don't see any NBA ready players (no NCAA tourny to scout)...MAJOR CRAP SHOOT
Young players get coaches fired, you just seen what happen to Thibs, Gentry, boylen, Mills, who all had primarily young teams.
You have 3 young guards in DSJ, Frank and Harper (none of them good enough to start) 2 young wing man in Knox and RJ and a raw big man in Mitch, if you add 3 more rookies, your talking more than half the roster being younger than 23...Why do you need all those young guys on one squad, we just saw that horror movie with fizdale..
Thats why Veteran coaches don't play young guys unless they are flat out good ballers..
Some of what you say can be true. Its not easy winning with young players.
But Miller *was winning* in his window as Head coach.
This year Ntilikina, Peyton, and Dotson will be entering their first year of true NBA maturity [assuming early arrival after that 3-5 year development stage]. Of course it requires Dotson get resigned.
MR *is* still a year or two away from shedding his NBA newbie skin but he's not your typical youngin.
Barrett is and will continue to be more raw than not.
One can only hope Randle gets flipped.
Knox, DSJ, and some of the G-Leaguers are all projects.
That said, Thibs has a lot to work with. And I happen to think this is a rich draft that will expose its riches 3 - 5 years from now.
Dismissing the talent available 1 -20 is a big mistake. Lots of sleepers.
