Lets assume you have Rose in the room interviewing with:
WWW
Perry
Brock
The other dude
Walt Perrin
and say one other. That's a committee of 6 with years of experience. Some varied not just as an NBA exec.
Say first interviews last 2 hours. 11 of them equal 22 hours. Then another round with half. That's another 12 or so hours.
And yet as fans we discount the process to previous experiences. That Thibs out of the game a year is now "not modern". Atkinson is not multidimensional and Kidd is the same regardless of his experiences.
But..........Thibs is the front runner despite his winning records but somehow his involvement is "nepotism" and Kidd is the same back stabbing dickhead he has been in his previous stops despite his interviews perhaps blowing these guy's minds.
Its not where they have been, its were they are going. Kidd might have been very upfront about the previous issues and dealt with it head on. A good interview has to address these perceptions and do so with substance. Same with any of them.

Nalod not in the room where the interviews happen but I would hope the new executive team will not make silly choices.
There might be a very substantial back room deal with Kidd and other players that might have some validity to it but far be it for us to be in it. Maybe if Kidd gets a deal in the second year that has team option to continue. If He don't help recruit then knicks move on. I say this as if he is using his recruiting juice card as leverage. deliver you can stay, not..... your toast. I have no basis for any of this.

I think the coaching candidates should have been interviewed via a group zoom meeting comprised of all the ultimate knicks forum posters, and then we deliberate between ourselves and make a final decision (could you imagine how badly that would go! Ha ha!).

I nominate Both 1248 and Triple!!! might not be productive but it would be fun.
