Kurt Thomas is running the floor very well and is impressing me with his jump shots and drives to the basket. Jamal has taken three shots so far, and Marbury is giving up a few turnovers. Sweetney just subed in but now theres a timeout. The Knicks look good, and are up 10 in the first quarter.

End of the 1st quarter. Ariza is looking incredible, the guy has mad hops. Crawford is playing well offensively and defensively. Kurt Thomas also had a very good quarter knocking down all of his open shots.

My jaw dropped when I saw Ariza get that high. The power move by Sweetney also made my jaw drop. I couldn't believe it. He looked like SHAQ on that play. The new look Knicks are very exciting. Jamal is playing a good game and the Knicks had a couple of blocks. Ariza can be something exciting! And Jamison Brewer is doing what he brought here to do...Play defense...There was a Net going for a layup and Jamison stripped it out of his hands as he went up and it was Knicks ball. Wow, I love watching this... End of 1st quarter - 29-19 Knicks.

TT has been VERY active on the glass and on the D
Ariza is everywhere. This kid is VERY impressive. Long, atlhetic and skilled. I can see why the think he will have a REAL impact this year.
Crawford's been awesome. He blocked Buford nicely and has been handling the ball nicely... Sweets looks nasty too. FUN

From what I've heard of so far from Ariza, he seems like a TPrince w/o a consistent shot. I hope he get's playing time this season, guys like him can change a game.

Not a bad first quarter.

We shot well, we had moments with good ball movement, Sweetney's power play and energy level is encouraging. Ariza and Crawford made some nice defensive plays. Overall both teams have been sloppy / lackadaisical, but I guess that's to be expected. Nazr and Baker both got into foul trouble. Marbury had some TO's. Crawford took some bad shots. But KT shot well.
