"aesthetically pleasing" WTF is that? I believe the game should evolve,rule changes are sometimes a good thing but this is just a gimmick.Shooting percentages will increase when they actually make players work on improving their pct from inside and outside the arc.

I think this is a stupid idea. Some players will be completely useless until the last 5 minutes of the game. This will completely ruin the flow of any team. I think the NBA's rules are fine, nothing needs to change imho

the thing I think the game needs is a bigger court- players today are faster and bigger than ever- if they want to open the game up, my ideas would be

a bigger court
raise the hoop an inch or two
make the hoop a bit larger
and if the court was large enough, move the 3pt line in and add a 4pt line

that would open up the half court game and prevent everything from getting packed into the lane.

obviously, none of that will happen- its too radical.

I do like that officials are going to call more fouls against defenders that hold their arms out to impende the offensive players- that should help Marbury, Crawford and Houston if he ever comes back
