Hey fans, now more than ever, I am as excited as I can be. My Knicks are ready to go, and it appears to me that our players are beginning to believe in Isiah's dream. He did the all of the right things this off-season. He brought in players that respect and most of all will go to war for his ideologies. He offered Keon Clark a contract, but thank God that kid has his head somewhere other than playing basketball. As much as I would love to see everyone succeed in this system, but I am also convinced that sometimes things happen for a reason. We will do just fine, and I am also confident that at the end of the season we will be standing tall.

My ideal starting lineup is as follow:

Marburry
Crawff
TT
Sweetney
Vinny.

I want Vinny in the starting lineup because of his experience. If we have Sweetney at the PF, we need some experience at the Center position to back him up.

My rotation would be as follow:

Brewer
Penny
JYD
Naser
Kurt

Let me know how you all feel. The season is about to begin, and we need to come on folks.

my rotation assuming Houston starts the season on the IR while he fully recovers from his injuries (at least to start off the season):

C - Nazr
PF - Sweetney
SF - TT
SG - Crawford
PG - Marbury
6 - Penny
7 - KT
8 - Baker
9 - JYD
10 - Brewer
11 - Ariza
12 - Bateer
IR - Houston / Shandon / Moochie

I like your rotation, but why in the world would you want to have such of an inexperience frontline????? Sweetney and Naser are very inexperienced.

I think for the most part, we are all excited about this season. It's been a long four months.
I am very excited about our future. It seems like everyone on this team has an important role.

Sweets looks like he is coming along nicely. He will be a strong force in the post in a few years.
Ariza has impressed everyone thus far and seems to be another drafting gem of Isiah.
Crawford will be a star in this league if he can become more consistant and develop a better shot selection (which he is luckily still young enough to do).
Marbury is in a great situation, being the captain of the team he followed as a kid. I look to see him develop into a *true* leader.
TT is still a roleplayer, but he is a great option on the fast break, or 2nd or 3rd scoring option.
Penny and Baker say they are feeling great and hope to return to a portion of their former selves. They will also provide some great vetern leadership.
(OK, I'm getting tired of typing now, and I'm sure you're getting tired of reading me go on like this, so I'm done)

My ideal Lineup:
C Kurt
PF Sweets
SF TT
SG Crawford
PG Marbury

I don't like the fact that you want Kurt as our Center. Enough with the small lineup. If we didn't have big bodies on our roster, I would say yes, but we do have Vinny, Naser, Sundov whom are much bigger than Kurt. Temporarily, I would go with that lineup, but not for 4 quarters.

Subs

2-Craw/Penny
3-Penny/Ariza
4-Sweets/JYD
5-Baker/KT(if Sweets is at the 4)

Instant classic.

And just to take a moment to respond to the small lineup, it doesn't really matter to me for a couple of reasons.
Kurt is only an inch shorter than Nazr, who was starting for us last year.
He plays better defense than Nazr, and is able to rebound just as well. And I believe the same goes for Vin as well.
The thing that put him over the top for me was his consistant jumper. So in my mind, Kurt has locked up a starting spot. And since he can play the 4 and the 5, I have three options left to start in the front court: Sweets, Nazr, or Vin. Sweets wins that hands down. But once again, that's just me.

I will leave that for Lenny and Isiah to figure out. However, look for our starting lineup to be as follow:

Marb
Straw
TT
Sweetney
Vinny

i've been reading reports out of Knicks' training camp that have Nazr a bit more ahead of Vin in terms of athleticism, running the floor, defense, rebounding & low post scoring...just because Vin is coming off the bench doesn't mean he can't log significant minutes...i just feel a frontcourt team of Nazr, Sweetney & TT would give the Knicks a rotation more well suited to running that uptempo style game that Lenny & Isiah have been saying all along that they plan to run this season.

Vin, KT & Penny coming off the bench would provide some stability in the halfcourt sets, & i'm sure they'd see most minutes down the stretch of games when the pace slows down significantly, & experience is more of a factor in determining the outcome of games...plus, by keeping them fresh until later in the games, they'll be more rested & able to play at a higher level in crunchtime...all 3 of them aren't young anymore, so this has to be a concern.

It will almost definitely be:

Marbs
Craw
TT
KT
Nazr

and if you think KT won't throw a fit and disrupt the team coming off the bench, you must know a different Crazy-Eyes Killa. KT starts over Sweets.

Baker
Sweets
Penny
JYD
Brewer

Ariza
Sundov

IR - Houston, Moochie, Anderson

Bateer, Barrett, Murray, and the other SF dude will be cut

That's the lineup I'm hoping for on opening day too, but I am a little concerned that it's such a young lineup (everyone is 22 to 27). I might put Penny in the starting rotation, but I don't know how Jamal would react to that. He came here willing (surprisingly) to be Marbury's and Houston's backups, but I don't know how he'd feel about being Penny's back up too (while Houston is out).

I would start and finsih with Baker. Depends on the matchup of the day. But Bake is the comeback player of the year and poster"man" for the feel good story of the year.

THe digital goodness reflects the strenth of our Aid of Kool.

Look into his deep black eyes, fear not the Layden, not of red dye no. 2, love potion no. 9, not what it is doing to your kidney's, only the sweet one sided feelings THE Father gives us.

I have taken my Kool Aid straight. No water, just crunchy sweetness.
I see no mortgage of the future, just Craw-Azira-Sweets getting better and better in my elevated suger coma.

They are all stars, they are champs. They have yet to play a game.

Popcorn king brand popcorn, and Cherry red kool aid. Why eat anything else!

Soon I will elevate my habit and freebase the Kool aid. The smell of cherry suger injected right into my blood stream will be the ultimate buzz.

Then THE Father will take me home!
