Miami looked very discombobulated. Obviously its game 1 of pre-season, but sometimes you can get a grasp of some things to come. It appeared that Shaq commanded so much attention that the lane was clogged and Miami penetrators--especially wade had trouble once they got there. Mike Doleac and Rashual Butler especially looked REAL good for the Heat--Shaq was shaq--but the team is THIN.

Houston looks like a good team--they also are going to go through an adjustment--Deke looked very smooth and fit in nice. The team is also a little rag-tag

And to inform everyone, the Rockets win 85-75.

I have felt this whole time the Heat have been overrated with Shaq, and I still believe they would have been better off with Grant, Odom, and Caron.

I'm not about to overreact based on preseason but here's the fact: Miami have no fowards...period! Their forwards would be backups on any other team...including the Knicks.

And Houston did this with Spoon registering a DNP. Why just think, if he had played, the final margin would have been . . . .

Maybe they want to trade their center?

KT, NaSr, Shandon and Frank WIlliams for shaq? Can we still trade Frank even though he is a Bull?

Replace FWill with Fredrick Weis and we got a deal.

like I said after the Shaq trade... the Heat have no forwards. Forwards are usefull thing in the NBA.

The interesting thing about Shaq is that he basically makes up for a lack of forwards. I think Miami's real problem will be the fact the fact that they have no outside shooting and more specifically that Wade needs to get to the lane to be effective. This is a problem for them. The Heat's two best players are only dangerous in the paint and that's pretty easy to defend against.

"Shaq is about 30 or 40 pounds lighter," McGrady said. "He's even more dominating. His defense is even going to be better this year."
