I would trade dsj for mo bamba because both players need a fresh start somewhere else i think mo bamba coming to knicks would be good for the knicks. Mo Bamba can compete with mitch robinson in practice . Mo Bamba is from harlem, ny he would be hometown kid if he came back and played for the knicks the problem with mo bamba is he hasn't gotten a chance to play because of Nikola Vucevic the magic center is an all star. The knicks also need a back up center this off season we don't know if the knicks are bringing back taj gibson plus mo bamba makes 5.9 million next season. The reason why trade dsj is because it hasn't workout for the knicks and season last season wasn't good plus i think dsj would be better in a small market team like orlando, charlotte, or piston less pressure for dsj if he is on those teams. The reason why would trade dsj to orlando is because the magic don't have back up point guard for fultz and plus make are going to have to pay huge luxury tax next year 145,000,000 there cap situation isn't good right now. I know mo bamba number aren't good 5.5 points, 5 rebounds, 35.6 percent from three, and 46 percent percent from the field.

No trading for bigs until we have guards that can penetrate and shoot from downtown, until we have a system and you know what types of players that will fit that system.

The last 7 yrs have been all about adding talent that don't fit just to fill a position

Ok but in the meantime, I’ll just make this steal of a trade. The Magic would hang the phone up pretty quickly though.

Mo Bamba is in clifford dog house i wouldn't say its impossible for this trade from happening because magic don't care about bamba he isn't in there long term plans. I said this earlier the magic are in luxury tax hell next season 140 plus million and they also have to think extension talks with issac and fults in the summer time.

They wouldn’t make the trade. Besides, they already have DSJs basketball version of a twin, Markelle Fultz.

we all play pretend GM here. No real stress here. But damn your reasoning sucks.

You do this trade in a minute based on potential. If Orlando calls you tell them you call them back. Go get Perrin, Perry, Boy wonder new kid Alex, any other scout on the payroll and there are, Call his college coach.......and take it in.
Not some stupid "I want shooting and then we'll discuss this...."
If your the one calling orlando you did your homework. More likely Orlando tells you to "Stay safe and have agood day" and hangs up.......

I wonder if the Hornets would trade Monk for DSJ. Monk's suspension just ended. Not sure what the substance was but he might be considered damaged goods like DSJ. I think it will be hard to move a guy that relies on athleticism with a back injury.

Mills seemed to be the Monk fan- he wanted to draft him instead of Frank, I presume he was the one who wanted to trade for him. Now he’s gone, and presuming we draft a PG, not sure it makes sense.

No. Dont understand the draft/trade scenarios that seem intent on sidelining Mitch. If there is a good deal for Smith jr. at every other position, I hope mgmt looks into it. Im hoping he made use of the time off to deal with injuries, holes in his game. Would be a better, and less expensive outcome, capwise.

I assume Mo would be groomed to be the back up center. The

The difference from mo bamba and mitch robinson is opportunity and mo bamba hasn't gotten his opportunity because of magic all star center nikola vucevic. Lets be real here mitch robinson had more of opportunity then mo bamba. Mitch Robinson had opportunity to start this season but he committed early stupid fouls when he did start but got benched for taj gibson not good for 22 year old that the knicks are investing to be starting center. Also the problem with mitch robinson that is troubling is he fired 4 agents and on 5 nba agent not good if the knicks are going to sign him 2 years. I hope mitch gets post game for next season and a jump shot i seen his workouts video but i got to see it in real game just not flashes. The main reason to get mo bamba to knicks is to challenge mitch robinson and see who is really better in next 2 years and decide who to give a max contract. Mo bamba isn't get a another contract with the magic because they are going to sign extension with issac, fournier and fultz either this summer or next summer.

Magic center Mo Bamba says he's gained 28 pounds during the quarantine, but that most of it is muscle.
"I’ve worked my tail off during this quarantine,’’ Bamba said. "This is going to sound weird, but I put on probably about 28 pounds since quarantine (started),’’ Bamba said while laughing. "We did the whole body (composition) testing when we got back in (the Magic practice facility) and I’ve only added about 2.5 percent body fat. So, a lot of it is muscle and I can’t wait to get back out there and work.’’ It sounds like Bamba is ready to go and he was playing well before the shutdown, tying his career high with 15 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks and three 3-pointers in just 17 minutes against the Hawks on Feb. 26.

Every single player on the roster has holes in their game, why single out DSJ as trade bate, when their isn't a young guard on this roster that can shoot.

I think if your really a fan and your sick of the losing, then you should only care about getting better players. All we have is role players which aren't hard to replace.

True, and this is why TripleThreat's mirror test rant posts were so valuable. And entertaining.

Trading DSJr for anything at this point fails the mirror test. Unless you're sending a 1st rounder with him as compensation.

I would do it, but we really need to address our guard play before moving current guards, as bad as DSjr has been.

If we end this draft with DSJr still On the team then the Knicks really dropped the ball. I am not saying we should give him away but I think it’s past time that we move on, and the team should trade him while he still has some value. I am hoping that they can package him with a draft to move up either with our first pick or move up with our second pick to perhaps take a shooter.
