What they should do for all teams!
Everyone makes playoffs similar to college
Seed 1-16
First rd 1 game winner takes all
Rd 2 best 2/3 reseeded 1-8
Rd 3 best 3/5 reseeded 1-4
Championship 4/7 reseeded 1-2
Perfect. Everyone has a chance. Makes it fun exciting. Cut the playoff way down as well

I believe the tv contract requires 70 games for the regular season. Probably some similar requirement for play offs.

Shorter doesn’t help with money!

But I would think this is a good time to experiment with alternatives- like reseeding.

I’d also say something like letting every team in, with those bottom teams having a 1 game play in exciting. It would make Damian Lollards happy!

Not sure as it discredits the regular season for those teams that played well to get into positions for post season. Bad enough these teams will be rusty. Its fun to think the GSW could eliminate the lakers in one game. Klay is one year now from getting hurt and while I doubt they bring him back, they could. Curry is ready to return. But then as the series get longer the better teams Will emerge.
Could knicks beat a top 4 team on an given night? Sure, never know when Frankie gets hot!!!
