The Hawks have time to work on their relationship with Young, and they have avenues to improve with cap space galore and trade-chip John Collins. Rookies Cam Reddish and DeAndre Hunter showed promise, but the team was awful and the pieces didn’t fit. Young and Reddish spent 1,008 minutes together on the floor and produced a -4.4 rating. They were outscored by a total of 96 points, which was only worse for Young when he played with (gulp) Jabari Parker. Don't really follow the Hawks, but in a fit of boredom I listened to a Hawks game early in the season against I think the Sixers and John Collins was just going off the wall in the first half against them. He was all over the place, blocks, rebounds, 3's. Very small sample size, I know. There is no mirror that makes this possible for us (without losing yoots and draft picks), but any thoughts? Trae |
