I know there are jokes about Darwinism to be made here, but they'll only end up making feel sadder.
https://www.ibtimes.sg/florida-georgia-scrutinized-their-transparency-reporting-coronavirus-cases-45421 While the Coronavirus is forcing the country to shut down several states, Florida and Georgia are now scrutinized for their role in sharing accurate and transparent reports on COVID-19 cases. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

Nearly Half Of The Twitter Accounts Discussing ‘Reopening America’ May Be Bots "We're seeing up to two times as much bot activity as we'd predicted based on previous natural disasters, crises and elections," said Kathleen Carley, a professor in the School of Computer Science’s Institute for Software Research and director of the Center for Computational Analysis of Social and Organizational Systems (CASOS) and Center for Informed Democracy & Social - Cybersecurity (IDeaS.) Florida knew a COVID-19 pandemic was likely. State leaders didn’t warn the public. While the public was kept in the dark, top Florida health officials were scrambling to come up with a plan for a crisis they knew was upon them, according to internal Florida Department of Health data and communications obtained by the Miami Herald. The records show that on Feb. 13 DOH assembled an emergency response team. The team’s mission: “Contain the spread of the virus.” It also began preparing for N95 mask shortages and privately providing pandemic protocols to long-term care facilities, warning them about the risks the virus posed to elderly residents. Priorities God don't do streaming.
https://www.aa.com.tr/en/americas/trump-to-governors-open-houses-of-worship-right-now/1850877 US President Donald Trump said Friday he is designating houses of worship as "essential," urging state governors to allow them to open "right now." I'm an atheist, but I understand the role religion can play from a mental, and even physical, perspective. The problem is many of these places of worship aren't following proper protocols. Yes, liquor store aren't open. But liquor stores aren't packing in 100s of people in the aisles. I've seen churches think out of the box to find ways to serve their parishioners. It's daunting, but it can be done. What many of these people who refuse to wear masks or practice social distancing don't realize is that it's not about them. I'm glad their healthy. But what about the guy next to them and their family? This thing can be asymptomatic. Freedom isn't without responsibility. I can smoke, but I have the responsibility to sure I don't bother my neighbors with second hand smoke. I can play music, but I have responsibility to make sure the noise levels don't bother my neighbors. I can own a gun, but I have the responsibility to not menace every stranger you think committed a crime. Fine, go worship. But I don't think God, as far as I understand, doesn't require a public spectacle every time you want to show your devotion. I'm sure he prefer it if you respected the health and well-being of your neighbors. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. If a liquor store can keep the place safe then they should be able to keep the business open. I also say that maybe a church can be a standing only room and keep to 25% capacity. Or stick with the streaming now. I think we’re generally on the same page in terms of guidelines to follow despite not agreeing on religion. “Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute

Yes, we know the mask won't protect us from the virus. But it will help soften the blow of infection rates. Six feet isn't far enough, but every little bit helps. I wish people would put as much energy as they did fighting social distancing as they did fighting the problems that have continued plaguing this country the past few decades.
