There is no rhyme or reason to some of Miller's sub patterns. Hopefully Rose gives the order to play the kids more than they have been.... |

Frank is still my favorite Knick - I think him and Knox are really young and would thrive in stability and small but potent roles- it would be stupid to sell low on them. They're not blocking anyone better and I really see exceptional talent with both. They're young and look it - but I think they have the right personality to hang in there -and Frank could come off the bench his whole career without attitude and dominate defensively- I want one more year out of both before giving up. Mitch and RJ are pros. The key is to let all four develop naturally like Miller has done on a merit basis. Not pretend they are saviours but not trade bait either.
The moving pieces are everyone else. Randle and DSjr are still on the roster- and that's the area where the Knicks have need for real stars. If we had a dominant point guard - break down the D, high level passer, shot the 3- the 4 above (Mitch Frank RJ Knox) would flourish and our PG could even be a minus or average defender. In a healthy world that's DSjr with better passing. DSjr I bet has a better year next year, here or away- Randle is hard to see thriving with a scoring PG though. I can see RJ playing off him, cutting, letting the PG be the shooter, good flow. I have a hard time seeing it w Randle. I think there's a place where he could be a winning player- and he's gotten better this year- I wish I saw the same passion and determination in his D and passing as his offensive iso game- relentlessness- seems like a chore for him- in these remaining games I'm going to see if he develops- but imagine this team with a great defensive PF who passes the ball and hits the 3- creates space- I bet both Elfrid DSjr and Frank would play way better- Julius Randle expires the same year as Blake Griffen. Would you be that, minus Portis Ellington etc plus a high pick PG and a PF with our 1st from Dallas? Anyway if that Rose info is right it sounds sane and normal. Good start. I mentioned Ryan west a few weeks back. Is credited w some good picks late in first round
