We are all to cynical to digest or trust anything from Dolan. Its a reasonable assumption. CAA is this magnificent organization that spans not just Basketball players but the entertainment industry. Since they were Melo's agent we seem them only thru that lens of selfishness. It was Leon's job to get the best deal for his client! Knicks could have said no. That was then, this is now.
We wanted to be "excited". We wanted Urjiri somebody that knew what the phuch they were doing. Lakers resurgence the last two years is shocking.

Its obvious Dolan had this lined up for some time. Forget the "Leon Rose has KAT" or whomever as a client and we automatically assume this is a starphuch dream. No its not. Why now? Neutering Mills creates even more dysfunction. Mills could not stay. There is an opportunity at the trade deadline. Maybe we let it pass but knicks are talking and maybe laying out plans in the off season. It has to start now. We can't go into the draft or off season without a plan. Every day Mills was in place the Cred got worse. Its not changed, but now its a curiosity.

He kept Isiah on way too long because HE wanted it. On and on. He wants to publically fight Oak. Even if he 75% in the right he still loses. Why, fans like oak more than Dolan!!!
Dolan does not have to change, he just has to do the right things even if its "Wrong" to him.
Lets forget blame and just look at reality. This team lacks the cred to attract big names and the new metric of success is you need to draft a star, or trade for one. But you still need a free agent to sign on. Clipper and Lakers both did this. To get Lebron was one thing, but there was a plan and they were going to get AD. It was all planned. Lakers paid a big price to get AD. Better get it right cuz its a franchise killer. We obsessive fans read a lot and some are better to weed out the Bull shyt and narrative of hate and star phuch. So what that leon rose had eddy curry as a client. In fact, that's the kind of killer you want on your team. is KAT soft? So what, nobody says he will be a knick. Media will tie this together so you get excited.
Don't be excited. Just give the man a chance. WE have no idea what is coming. What is important is a man is in charge that understands valuation of players and how to do deals. To move AD NOLA had to be made happy. Myers understood Durant and got him to take less than what OKC could have offered. Sometimes its about money, sometimes not.

I don't know his business but he is not doing this for the money. He has it. I don't know what he wants, but Im ok with this.

It might be a disaster or be a fun ride. Ujiri, morey or Prsti offered no guarantee other than cred from their past. We been down this road before with Larry Brown, MDA, Donnie, Etc. No guarantee. Dolan might be the guy to blame but if knicks succeed he won't panic and stick his nose where it don't belong. I think the worst of Dolan but fact is if someone is doing their job he likely has learned enough to leave it alone. Dave Checketts taught him that early!
I don't trust Dolan but he hired the man who phuched him over and over. Maybe there is something to that!
