Send Mitch to GL - he will dunk the whole game and block everything...

Wooten can be a useful role player, especially next to a scoring center. He's a good small ball forward on defense. Can he pass and set picks? Tyson Chandler was much better on offense than advertised. So was Ben Wallace. Why? Because both were excellent passers and set fantastic picks and screens and did so with enthusiasm. Guards see that big man busting out to set screens they are motivated to make a good play, ball moves more, players move more... sometimes having a "non-scorer" on offense makes the offense better.

I have no idea if Wooten has that potential. Jerome Williams was another guy. Had a handle, set screens and picks like he got paid for each one, good passer...

Wooten might pair well w/ Portis?

Sounds like a few teams have Wooten on their radar. If we are able to flips players for a star or sign a star the Wootens of the system will be tested.

Good question. Trier might be a candidate, judging by the minutes. Id move Ellington, has not impressed.

I agree about Ellington. Seems like a team would give up a heavily protected second for him.

Would you terminate the 2 way contract of either Ivan Raab or Kadeem Allen for Wooten? I would cut Raab for Wooten.

Move makes the most sense. Rabb hasn't been impressive from what I've read. Wooten has shown potential, but not enough to end up on a roster. This gives him a chance to make some NBA quality checks and continue developing.

Smart move. After Wooten’s impressive SL and Rabb’s no show for unknown reasons, I was surprised Wooten didn’t get the 2 way contract to begin with.

I remember when the Knicks backed out of their deal with Wilkes that Wooten was upset he didn’t get the two way. Berman reporting Rabb was signed on Fiz’s recommendation.

Nice guess.....unless u work for msg.

This was a no brainer.

Wooten has Mitch potential at the forward position. And Morris / our numerous vets at his position, will shape him up into a better player.

I agree with this move.

Wooten has momentum changing plays. He doesn't just block shots, he grabs the ball out the air. Head is above the rim. He's the perfect side show Dolan needs to increase a few ticket sales. I can see him and Mitch running on the fast break catching alley's.

Wooten is the perfect end of the bench type player, who will also be a great practice type athlete to play against.

The Knicks filled their second two-way contract spot Wednesday by inking forward Ivan Rabb, who was just cut by Memphis.

David Fizdale coached the 22-year-old Rabb with the Grizzlies.

Wooten is also a player that does not shoot the ball with range. So he really can't play with Mitch and probably needs a small ball lineup with shooters at the PF/SF slots.
