The subject line says it, here is the text:

Poor Don Chaney, he stepped into a bad situation and now that its gotten worse, his head is on the block too. The Knicks continue to tell media they are not replacing Don this season, but sources close to the Knicks say not only have they reached out to available coaches, but many of them have been asked if they would take the team mid-stream. In addition, the Knicks while maintaining the "we want to win now" front, they have contacted at least 4 freelance scouts to start looking at the draft class. As it stands now, if the season ended tomorrow, the Knicks would be staring at a draft pick in the 8-11 range. This season may be in the toilet from the fan point of view, but with a pick that high in this draft class, and the possible addition of an upbeat coach, the Knicks future may be looking up, and they are exploring ALL their options.

How about Smith? I read the article on him and think that maybe he has matured enough.. Could be a wild card and getting him would not cost too much. Also the Isola article is right on the money..
Wonder if NYK management reads this site?? Couple of good suggestions coming out it. Do the UK boys have a line to NYK management???????

There are still some rough talents out there, just not with the size Smith has.

Khalid El-Amin for instance in the same CBA team as Smith has been putting up monster numbers. Had a few 40+ games but he's a short PG which is why he has been sorta neglected, we don't have that luxury.

Shawnelle Scott maybe?
